Two Aussie first-timers in Disney! Lots of photos! NEW- FINAL CHAPTER! - Ch 20, Pg 30

Great to have you back and another great trip report. Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding, where are you going on honeymoon? Don't want to tell you this but you will never better your seven week USA trip.:dance3:

But just this past weekend, something happened and I can’t stop looking at bridal magazines and deciding how I’ll have my hair, and what party favours we’ll give out to our guests, and what colour our invitations will be, and all that girly stuff!! Augh! Am I becoming a girly bride person!? :bride: Help!
[/B]

Why fight it? Here comes the bride......;)

Looking forward to more,

Kathy

A new reader here...I've read all the pages and am now caught up on the Aussies adventures in Disney World. I see you got the famous Dole Whip at the Magic Kingdom. Most people like the ice cream but I prefer the float!! I have to get one every time we are there. MMM tasty. Now I want one:wizard: Nope, didn't work. Lousy wizard.

Let me also agree with you on Mission Space. I love all thrill rides but this one whiped me out! I was fine and thought the ride was just okay until I was waiting with the kids while DH took his turn. I got extremely dizzy and had to put my head between my legs. I seriously thought I was about to pass out.

Congratulations to you and your DF! I know you will post pics of the ring.:bride: :groom:

New report. Awesome. Soarin' is one of my faves, too, and I almost didn't go because I'm not a fan of heights. This is one ride I will wait in line for! I love, love, love it!

I agree with you about Le Cellier. We've eaten there twice and the food is O.K. but not fantastic. I do like the cheese soup and pretzel bread - a must have according to DD15. I loved the creme brulee, too, almost as good as France's.

And the Dole Whip float is my new alltime favorite snack. I'm glad you found them on your first trip as I didn't until this past February. And since I had missed out my previous trips, I ate three! :rotfl:

Can't wait for more - really enjoying your report!

I just found this report! Thanks so much for taking me along with you on your trip! This sure has been fun!

Loved that you mentioned the peanut rice at BOMA. I thought it looked gross when I was there, but ended up wanting to eat it by the handfuls!

Can't wait to read more!

Ahh...I'm back from vacation and catching up! Still reading and still loving your report!

I love your spunk and personality!

Hiya everybody! I only have 4 days left of holidays before school starts again, and I have to go back to teaching! Waaah! Where did the time go!? :sad2:

I hope to get lots more of my trip report done before I go back to school though, so stay tuned!

Ricky's Girl... I love your "tossing the cookies" phrase! :rotfl2: But yep, the only ride that worried me was Mission Space. Really, it's the enclosed space thing that gets to me. I just don't like small spaces!! But you never know what might happen in our afternoon at EPCOT!! Heee! And yay, I'm glad you love Bones too! My new favourite phrase is "I don't know what that means", whenever DF is talking about something complicated and money-related. Hee!

NMAmy... Heya! I'm enjoying reading your trip report too! Hey, you should pop over there now and write another chapter, kay!? Yay!

Lisaj... Thanks for the wedding congrats! We're heading to Hawaii for our honeymoon, for 3 weeks. 1 week in Honolulu, 1 week on a cruise around the islands, and 1 week in Maui. You're right - it won't be the same as our 7 week American adventure, but that's okay! We LOVED our 7 week trip, but I'm sure we'll love our honeymoon too! It will be totally different... Our 7 week trip was go, go, go, whereas our honeymoon will hopefully be more about sleep-ins and relaxing on the beach, with a bit of shopping, eating and drinking thrown in for good measure! Yay! :yay:

KathyRN137... Hee! Your comments made me laugh! :bride:

buffy0214... Hey! Thanks for popping in to my trip report! Sorry to hear about your bad experience on Mission Space - yuck!! And yep, I will post a photo of the ring later on! :thumbsup2 PS. I love Buffy!

puffinp52... You're right - Soarin is great! I don't love heights either, and there were times I felt a bit dizzy, but not enough to worry. Such a fun ride! 3 Dole Whips floats! You lucky thing!!

Glendamax... Hiya! Glad you're enjoying my trip report!! And yay, I'm so glad someone else loves the peanut rice at Boma too! I thought it was just me!! :woohoo:

Scutapipig... (I always wonder about your screen name, by the way. I wonder what it means!!) Where did you go on vacation? Disneyworld!? Weeee!

Thanks again everybody, for following along with my trip report!! I'll have the next chapter up tomorrow sometime! Have fun! :cheer2:

(PS. Does anybody else see a black line appear under that little cheerleader? It used to be my favourite emoticon, but now a big black line appears whenever I see it! Anyone else?! Or has my computer gone mad?!)

Hi Fat English gent! Glad you're still here! Everything down under is fine! Warm and sunny here in Melbourne. Well, not right now, since it's night-time, but you know what I mean.

Don't mention the cricket? In the words of Temperance Brennan from Bones... "I don't know what that means."

Seriously. :confused3 I don't follow cricket. It puts me to sleep. So don't worry, I won't mention it!!

Nope, it looks good here:confused3

Hi! I just found your trip report today!! I spent my entire lunch hour reading it! I just wanted to say its great so far, and I can't wait to hear more!! :thumbsup2

Three weeks in Hawaii sounds fantastic, you do realise we'll all be wanting a trip report following it don't you?

All caught up again. Sorry your trip to Kennedy space center was a bummer. I lived in Coco Beach my sophomore year of HS and I was so excited to be able to go see the shuttle (can't remebe which one) on the launch pad, I thought I was special because my uncle worked for Nasa in mission control, We were so far away from it though with all the "regular" people. and then it was cancelled. It went up a few days later and I got to see it from my front yard, it was a rather nice stream of smoke.
Yeah, what is up with the Kodak commercial before HISTA? I could undrstand a few minutes for sponsorship but 10 minutes? that rots my socks!
anyway can't wait for more TR, I am really enjoying it.

Sorry you didn't like KSC all that much. I felt the same way that you both did. We went about 10 years ago and it just seemed pretty boring.:sad2: Glad to hear you had such a great meal at Ohana. I've heard the atmosphere is fun and it sounds like you had a nice view of the MK!:) I do want to try Le Cellier on my Dec. trip because I've read such great reviews about it. Sorry to hear you weren't all that thrilled with your meal or your server. I have to say though that you had me laughing out loud when I was reading about the server calling you "sir"!:rotfl2: I would have loved it if you called him "madam"!:rotfl2: I'm really enjoying your TR. Hurry back when you find the time.

I am so glad you had such a great time. It is good to hear a fellow Aussies thoughts on your trip. I will probably be bugging you a bit with questions that I think of.

"Anyway, at 11.14, we came to a crowd of people who were all looking up at the sky and cheering and taking photos. DF and I looked at each other and looked up at the sky. There was nothing startling in the sky, except for a long puffy cloud. We shrugged. “Weird,” we muttered to each other, and assumed it must have been some American tradition to cheer at the sky in EPCOT. :confused3 "

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I love it! We would probably be in Australia wondering about your "wierd traditions"! Funny how our perceptions can be so different!!! Loving your TR!

Scutapipig... (I always wonder about your screen name, by the way. I wonder what it means!!) Where did you go on vacation? Disneyworld!? Weeee!

I WISH it were Disneyworld, but we went to Gettysburg instead.

As for my screen name...hee hee...it's a very simple explanation. My hubby and I were watching the Olympics one summer and Uta Pippig was running the marathon. I commented on how I thought it was a fun name. Since my husband nicknamed me Scooter, he adapted it one day and called me Scutapipig and the name has stuck for us ever since.

Looking forward to the next chapter!
Karen

Kimberley815... Wow, your whole lunch hour reading my trip report!! I'm honoured!! :)

Lisaj... A trip report about Hawaii!? Heee! It might go like this... "On Monday, we slept in. Then we went to the beach. Then we drank cocktails and ate. Then we went to bed." Cause that's all we plan on doing!! Hehee, no, not really. We'll be doing lots of Hawaii sight-seeing as well of course, like a visit to Pearl Harbour and whale watching tours. Can't wait!

(We did contemplate going to Disney for our honeymoon, and doing a Disney cruise for a week as well, but decided on Hawaii instead. There are some days I wish we were off to Disney instead, but then, I think we'll really enjoy Hawaii, and it will be lovely and relaxing. So, Disney World next year instead!! Only 18 months to go....!)

disneyaddicted... Hi! I'm glad it's not just me who gets bothered by that Kodak commercial!! It really it way too long. :confused3

WDW fan... I hope you have a better experience at Le Cellier than we did! I still giggle to myself thinking what our server would have done if I called him 'madam'. I so wish I was brave enough to say it!! :rolleyes1

QuirkyButterfly... Hey! Feel free to ask lots of questions, I don't mind!! When are you off to Disney?

MAGICFOR2... I know!! Cultural differences are funny. Except looking at Atlantis really wasn't a cultural difference, it was just us being dumb!! Ha!

Scutapipig... Thanks for telling me the story behind your name!! I would never have guessed that! Ha! It's a cute story!

I'm very bad guys, because I haven't finished the next chapter yet! I'm half way through it, but not quite there yet! I'll have it up by this time tomorrow though, I promise!! :yay:

I just HATE that Kodak advertisement!!!!! I have sat thru it several times and am always disappointed that they haven't yet replaced it with something entertaining. So, I fully agree with you.
I wish you would have called that waiter "Madam"! That would have been so fun!:rotfl: :rotfl:

I am so jealous of your long holiday! Glad you had a good time (other than the bad space center day!)

:upsidedow

The trip report is amazing!! i am loving it. It makes me more excited for our trip and the dining reports help me to know if i should change some plans. Thanks a million!!!!
