Are there any rides where my husband, myself, and our 1.5 year old will be able to all sit together? I haven't been to the parks in years and I can't remember how big any ride seats on (for things like dark rides, Casey Jr., etc.) I'm guessing we won't all fit but I thought I'd ask anyway.

And he's NOT allowed to lap sit on any rides, correct?

There are lots of attractions where all three of you could sit together---Dumbo, Casey Jr., Storybookland Canal Boats, Small World, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, Snow White, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, etc.:)

I agree, lots of rides you will all sit together! and you are right, no lap sitting allowed.

Have a magical time!

Thanks. I really didn't think the seats on the dark rides would be wide enough for all of us.

I believe you are correct on the no lap sitting.
You should be able to fit all three of you on alll of the dark rides. We are a family of 5, so we split up 3 and 2. The only ride I can think of that you can't do three is Space Mountain.

Well, he'll only be 1.5 years old and maybe 32 inches tall, at most. So...Space Mountain isn't even in my realm of thinking these days...haha!

Glad to know we should be able to squeeze together on dark rides!

Don't forget to use rider swap to get on a few of the rides your son is too young for... Also, even though you can technically fit, you may be more comfortable in two seats. Experiencing things together is great, but you won't be too far from each other.

We went with DS2 a few years back. The only rides that I can remember we had to split up on were Dumbo and Astro Orbitors. We're average build, and we fit fairly comfortable on pretty much every ride he was eligible to go on. We used the single rider line on everything else.
Have a great trip!:thumbsup2

I took my son in May with my father and we rode a lot of rides together and my son did sit on my lap for many of them and I was never told otherwise.

I can't speak for all rides, but some do allow lap sitting. I know we have 2 adults/1 child on Dumbo where the little one sat on my lap. I want to say that all FL rides allow it because I know I took my youngest on them before she was able to sit on her own, so she had to have been sitting on my lap.

ETA: Just went back and looked at pictures and she couldn't sit on our lap on Mr. Toads, but definitely did on Dumbo.

When our DD was smaller, she sat on our lap for quite a few rides. Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, Buzz, and Toy Story are a few I can recall since we have pics on the rides. If you don't fit comfortably 3 across, lap sitting is usually ok for the gentler rides. Oh, and on the carousel, I used to share a horse with DD when she was small. That's allowed too. :thumbsup2

Interesting. He'll be almost 17 months and he's kind of a bigger kid so I'm not sure how we'll all fit or if he'll be too large to be on my lap too. Guess we'll just have to see how it goes. But I do hope we can all sit together on some stuff! Especially something like the Haunted mansion and Mr. Toads (there's just one row of seats on that, right?)

My son was 2 1/2 and sat on my lap on all rides that we did in Fantasyland, Buzz Lightyear, Winnie the Pooh, the rides in Bug's Land, Ariel, and I think that's all we went on while we were there. Every ride except the tea cups he was on my lap.
