Two Adults --- Hoop dee doo or Luau???

Which would two adults (me and DH ages 32, 31) enjoy more??? I have never seen the Poly and would love too, but am not sure if the Luau is good.

Which would you chose?

I have to say that the food for the luau was a real dissapointment. The show was good but I would not go again.
I would do Hoop Dee Do again though, the food was good and the show (though corny) was fun.

I'll be honest, I haven't done the Luau, but I've done Hoop Dee Doo four or five times now, and still enjoy it. You can go to the Poly and walk around without having to go to the Luau. I wouldn't use that as the reason to validate your decision.

I've done both and the Luau is obviously more romantic. My kids 8 & 5 liked Hoop Dee Doo better. The Luau is easier to get to if you're driving.

Frankly, I wish WDW had a LOT more dinner shows.

i've done both. i'm taking dh to hddr this august b/c he likes corny humour and quite frankly i was not impressed with the food or the show at the luau.

We did the Luau and enjoyed it very much. Thought the food was pretty good and an enjoyable evening overall.

I have done the Luau twice in the past but it has been a long time. I know they have changed some of the things. We didn't care for the food much (not one of us eats seafood). They had other things to eat just not our cup of tea. Our family does the HDDR every trip! We love the food and the jokes. I guess if you want a romantic evening I'd go for the Luau, for fun I'd pick the HDD.
