We have 8 people on our reservation b/c we are staying in a 2BR villa at the BCV. One night we plan on splitting up for dinner. When I go onto the Disney Dining Reservation site to make the reservations I get a warning message when making the second reservation. I have tried logging out and using DH's email and cell phone but it still gives me the warning that I have conflicting reservations.

Is there a problem if I have conflicting reservations? Will they cancel one without asking me or can I just make both and not worry? The warning message gives me the option of canceling the existing reservation or go ahead and make both (with reminder that I need to cancel one). My first reservation is at Le Cellier so I am really nervous that it might get canceled.

Yes, it's possible they will cancel conflicting reservations.

I'd suggest that you call Disney Dining and make the ADRs over the phone. You can explain that you have a large party that is going to need to split into smaller reservations at two restaurants for the same day and meal time. If you give your name for your ADR and a name and phone number of the other person checking in for the second ADR, you shouldn't have any conflicts.

I agree with the previous poster.......Call the dining reservation number and get it straightened out in person.....make sure you take down the reservation numbers for both groups....
Hope it all works out and have fun

Just make the other reservation in the name of someone who will be present, not in your name or your husband's name. Use a different phone number. If it gives you the same message, use the option to keep both reservations.

The warning message should have 2 options: 1 to cancel the existing reservation and make the new one and 2 to keep original reservation. Select number 2.

I personally would NOT call disney dining about this. It seems that the more times you have a real person look at your reservations, the more likely that any seemingly conflicting ADRs will be cancelled.

I have several at one time for splitting up and they always give the warning but it says if you need the reservation that is fine.

It is ok for now but disney cancels conflicting reservations in many cases. I know they did it to me when I had a dinner reservation and a very late reservation( was for dessert ) at a different restaurant. They cancelled the first reservation which was for dinner and left the late one and never even told me. They did it the week we arrived in Disney. Everything was fine before that. Just a warning. :surfweb:
