Twitter?

So i was wondering how many of you had twitter accounts? I have a facebook my parents let me have but i want a twitter mainly to befriend like celebrities and stuff like warped tour or tv shows or whatever and my mom knows that but she is extremely iffy about letting me get one and i am not one to go behind her back so any suggestions on persuading her? thanks

I follow some friends from school, but mostly celebs and such. I don't care if people know what I am doing right now and such so it doesn't bother me. My mom has one, but never uses it. And my mom knows I have one and she doesn't care. LOL
I don't see any problem in it! If she trusts you with facebook, then Twitter shouldn't be a problem.

Really, I would say that Twitter is much safer than Facebook, if that's the problem. I use it often. My username is Expederest.

I don't have one, mainly because I don't have much interest in it, but if I did have one I probably wouldn't follow my friends (not that any of my friends have a twitter so...), just celebrities.

I mostly got it to follow celebrities and my friends but I've made some great internet friends on it... to me its safer than Facebook because on that everyone can see photos and everything about you, but Twitter is just words, so you can say as much or little as you want about your life... and you can have it private so you have to accept the people who want to follow you

My twitter is public because I don't say too much personal stuff on it but there is no way I'd ever have my Facebook public and I never accept friend request unless I know who they are

I've got both. Twitter is my biggest addiction, though. And you can control who sees your posts with the private option. Mine isn't on private, but that's because I don't post anything I want to keep private.

I follow a bunch of people. Real-life friends, Dis friends, various other online friends, celebrities. The writers for some of my favourite shows have accounts as do some of my favourite actors. As an aspiring writer, getting a reply from some of the TV writing idols is a huge thrill! I actually had a legitimate back-and-forth conversation with Jim Campolongo (a writer for White Collar) a few weeks back. Even a few of my favourite actors reply on occasion. Though, they're not big super stars, just TV stars. It's super fun.

I have to agree with this, Twitter is certainly more safer than facebook....I rarely use twitter though, but the majority of my friends are addicted to it.
