Twister the Movie -- Sequel Planned

DH and I really enjoyed the original, silly dialog and all. I hope the sequel doesn't have the therapist who needs therapy. Bill Paxton passed a few years ago, but it would be nice if Helen Hunt has at least a cameo. The sequel is supposed to be about their DD.

One critic pointed out that a storm strong enough to blow down the shack where Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton were sheltering -- the tornado would've blown their socks off (and then some.) But their clothes survived -- kinda like the Incredible Hulk where only the legs of his pants get split while the important parts remain intact.

Anyway. It's been 25+ since the original. It will be interesting to see what new special effects they come up with.

The sequel is supposedly going to be called "Twisters." How about calling it "Twisted?"

I have to admit when I'm channel surfing and this on I will always see where in the movie it's at. I really like the outdoor movie portion best!

Actually, I'd rather it go back to Ghostbusters, but anything is better than Fallon!

Yeah, Race through New York with Jimmy Fallon. It is where Twister used to be. I didn't even ride it when I was there recently because I just am not a fan. He also does some of the pre-recorded segments on the Universal Tour in Hollywood, but it's not as bad.

Twister is one of my favorite movies and while sequels never quite live up to the original, enough time has passed that I would give it a shot. Too bad Michael Crichton isn’t around to write the screenplay. I hope they choose as well for the cast as they did with the original.

Hope they get Wolfgang Van Halen to do the soundtrack; one of the best parts of the original was Eddie's shredding in the musical score.

Twister is my second favourite movie of all time, Wizard of Oz is my favourite. I seem to have a thing for tornados lol

I have seen this movie over 100 times, and that’s not an exaggeration.

I’m not sure how I feel about this possibly happening. My hope is that it is amazing and doesn’t go ‘Hollywood’ on it.

We are getting a new theatre here with interacting seats (I think they rumble and stuff like that) and is going to be 4K so if this happens, that’s the first movie I’ll see in the new place.

I was so blown away by the original that I would be interested in seeing the sequel. Seriously, I would like to see this.

I really liked Bill Paxton. I thought he was especially great in Big Love.

It's a classic. Making a sequel now seems really late. We've already had Sharknado.
