Hi!

I just had to tell someone who would understand. I just had a moment and started calculating our vacation. Well here it goes:
6 nights 7 days at The GF including passes = $2500.00.
(A little extra for a meal or two)
That comes to $357.14 each day................................OR
$14.88 per hour we are there (168 hours of Heaven).
Therefore that tells me that I NEED TO SAVE FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, thought this was funny. I can't believe I did this.

Heaven is not cheap. but it is definately worth every penny!!! You can't put a price on the excitement and happiness you get from being there.

i'd rather pay disney $14.88 an hour than the plumber i just had to hire for $50.00 an hour LOL;)
kathe

For how many people? I'd assume at least 2. That doesn't sound too bad. That takes it down to $7.44 per hour if you think about it. Of course you probably have airfare on top of that, but still it doesn't sound that expensive for the GF plus your tickets.

Now if you mean $2500 per person, that's a different story.

It sure looks different when you break it down like that.. let me try

800.00 - flights
2700.00 - hard rock hotel 6 nights including passes
2500.00 - Beach Club - 7 nights - including UPH
744.00 - Animal Kingdom Lodge 3 nights - no passes
180.00 - Happy Limo - 4 legs
2000.00 - spending money
-------------

8924.00 - divided by 16 nights = 557.00 a night (278.00 per person a night)

or $11.58 per hour (sleeping or awake)

No matter how you work our holiday pricing - it just does not sound good LOL... especially since one of us was a child

>>^..^<<

I was working on our WDW budget last night.

Total cost- $5400.00 Seven days at the Dolphin, two adults, three kids.

$1080.00 pp

$154.00 pp/day

The good news is, DW is getting a substantial raise in January that will help pay for our trip.

Ours is for 2 adults, 1 over 3 child and 1 under 3(free) child.
So ours would actually break down even more to $4.96 per hour per person for the 3 of us. We drive so there won't be airfare, but we will have a $300 dollar gas bill (Yukon XL). We are going in off season, so we got a GREAT Winter Break Rate which includes tickets. We are hoping for Main Building, but who knows.
:smooth: ::MinnieMo :tongue:

Can you tell I just want to go???????????

Any which way you put it, I will be THRILLED just to be there.

Price of Disney for 6

2 rooms at AS Music for 7 nights 966.00
6 - 5 day PH tickets 1386.66
Airfare for 6 1449.00
6 MVMCP tickets 232.74
R/T towncar service 90.00

Total 4124.40

Divided by 6 people 687.40

Divided by 7 nights 98.20 per person per day

This is for 6 adults. Everyone will have their own spending money and pay for own meals.

It comes out to $4.10 per hour per person.

I am almost scared to do this

2 adults one 5 year old

$1600 (8 nights and passes for 8 days CSR - one night room only)
480 (airfare)
100 (MNSSHP)
90 (Towncar)
350 (misc items for Disney)
1000 (spending money food)

$3620

452.50(per night)

18.86/hour (awake or sleep)

6.24 per person per hour.

Not as bad as I thought

Scary! 5 nights 6 days Wilderness Lodge Villa's on rented points for 8 people.
2 Bedroom Villa ............$1500.00
Fuel for drive....................200.00
Restaurants.....................500.00
Passes 4 Adult/4 Child....2184.00
total.....4384.00

Cost per family...............2192.00 or approx $15.22 per hour

I didn't include groceries that will be used in the Villas or the odd meal or snacks only the stuff we have PS's for.
I better not tell my Sister-in-law or she will back out on us and the per hour cost will shoot through the roof for us.;)

I started to figure this out but I have a 17 year old daughter who is an only child.I have to let her bring a friend and I have to pay for the friend. This means we have to have 2 rooms because the girls need their own.Whatever I do for my daughter I have to do for her friend. When I started figuring this out it got scary so I just stopped.

OK here we go:

Total cost of our very first trip:
$6000/10 days
That's $1200/pp
$120/pp/day
$5/hr

Now lets look at what it costs to stay home!

$6300/month
$42/day/pp
$1.75/hr

So a WDW vacation only costs us $3.25 an hour...WHAT A DEAL!! I f I could only use green stamps!(When's the last time you heard anyone mention "green stamps"?). Of course most of those costs at home are still occuring while at WDW but if you don't remind me I'll promise to forget that part.

OK,
I gotta try!

Annual passes for 4=$1400
Vacation club, 300 pts = 22,500/40 yrs = 562.50/yr
Gas = $100/trip
Food =?? 100/day (avg)
Souv/etc = $100/day

20 days planned for next year = 3 trips
APs=1400/20=$70/4=$17.50/day/person
Vacation club=562.50/20=$28.12/day/4=$7.03/person/day
Food=$25/person/day (kids still young, share meals=average)
Souv/etc=$25/person/day (based on last 6 trips)
Gas=$300/3 trips=$100/trip/20 days=$5.00/day/4=$1.25/person/day

Here goes: 17.50+7.03+25+25+$1.25=$75.79/person/day
$75.79/24= $3.15 per person per hour!

Add in another $1500 total for extra expenses and it comes to approx:
$4.00/peson/hour

That's my math and I'm sticking to it.
Hmmm- I dont think I can live at home for that rate--maybe we should just move to WDW! (Or divide by 5, but newest princess,
princess:, is only 3 weeks old)

:teeth: :teeth:
