Congratulations to the Twins (they're actually my second favorite team to watch in the AL) and also to the St. Louis Cardinals for clinching their respective divisions. The playoff picture is starting to shape up!

Three years in a row for the Twins is really terrific, especially since Bud Silly and Co. were looking to contract them not that long ago They're really a fun club to watch.

LOL!!! DH was watching the end of the Cardinal game last night and I asked if we had clinched the division yet. I had remembered the announcers talking about it the other day. DH didn't know either and we went into a long discussion about it. Two minutes after we finished talking the game ended and it was announced that we clinched!!!!! WOO HOOO!!!!!!!

As fate would have it, our post season tickets arrived yesterday too!

They clinch, and my dh, a huge baseball fan, is up north at an enviromental learning center with no tv, radio or newspapers . Guess he'll have to wait until Wed. to find out.

You mean he doesn't even have a cell phone or Blackberry? LOL, DH has come to rely so heavily on his Blackberry, he can't go 30 minutes without looking at it!

LOL, none of the above. Well, he has a cell phone, but it's here. We don't get signal that far up in the boonies, and they don't want that kind of stuff brought in to the center. Hee hee hee.

Awesome! DH bought tickets for the playoffs when he was at the Dome on Friday to buy tickets for Sunday's game. They were a surprise for me since I've never been to a Twins playoff game. I'm so excited to go!!

He even got interviewed by Channel 5, although we missed his 30 seconds of fame because they aired it on Sunday instead of Friday when we thought it would be. Oh well.

Congrats to the Cards fans too, although I do have a hard time cheering for them because I am a long time Cubs fan.

Now I wish I could find out WHEN and WHERE the playoffs start! We have a Philly dog show trip from the 28-Oct. 5 and a WDW trip from Oct. 15-22. I called our Twins sales rep last week, and he said the playoffs would start Oct. 5 or 6 and World Series would start 21 or 22. That means we probably would miss most of the ALCS. If you know of anyone that might want some GREAT seats behind home plate (sec. 125) for games we can't get to, let me know!

Congrats to the Twins! I've been celebrating the Cardinals clinching myself....hoping to get my playoff tickets tomorrow.

That's good to know. We'll be in WDW from Oct 16-24 with Mom and Dad (we should meet up sometime while we're there!), and DH and I were really worried we'd miss the World Series. I can handle missing the ALCS as long as they win it!

Wow, looks like we are all gonna be there at the same time, I'm there the 16th -24th too. Diane, I'm sure my DH would LOVE your tickets, but since we'll be gone too...

Sounds like I'm the only one not leaving MN for WDW in October! Not that I'm jealous or anything....

I guess somebody has to stay around and get the Twins through the ALCS!

I thought this was about The Amazing Race,and then realized the twins from AR were eliminated a couple of weeks ago and this could not be a spoiler that they won the Amazing Race.. LOL!!!

Seriously, I'm really pulling for the Braves to make it to the World Series. As we're about 4 1/2 hours from Atlanta, I'd like to try for tickets. I love Turner Field; great place for baseball.

Yankees, Twins it doesn't matter. The Cardinals are the team to beat so I'll be happy if we get a rematch with either team.

Not that it matters much in the grand baseball scheme, but the Twins didn't win last night...our Indians kicked their butts!
