Wwyd? Going aug. 31 with my nearly 2 year old twin girls and my 4 yr old boy (close to 5). We are planning on bringing a double stroller for the girls and a single for my son. We have 3 adults for pushing strollers. My daily stroller for the twins is a joovy double and I love it but it's so heavy! I lug it in and out of the car everyday so I can only imagine what it's like lugging it on the bus. I'm afraid I'll have 2 sleeping girls and then my husband would have to lug 2 strollers. I'm toying with buying a more lightweight stroller for the parks, bad idea? I like a decent sunshade, seats that recline and some storage underneath.

Any advice or recommendations?

What we did in a similar situation several years ago(we had a 5 year old, two year old, and 7 month old) was bring our joovy double for the little two, it was worth it since the bus such a small portion of your day. All you have to do is find it up and carry it onto the bus and find a wall to lean it on. We like to stand in the area of the exit doors with strollers, it's a little out of the way and there is room for them. For our slightly older kiddo, we went the umbrella stroller route, slightly better than the $20 walmart version, but not a lot, and since it folded small, it often lived in the basket of the joovy because our 5 year old walked quite a bit. For the bus, I would have one adult that has 5 year old and his stroller, one adult handling the twins, and one adult for the joovy. Another thing we learned early, don't be afraid to wait for the next bus if you want a seat, especially with lots of little ones.

Not sure what your lodging situation is, but the approach I took last year when traveling with twin 2yo's is that we did a split stay. Part of the stay at an MK resort and part of it at an HS/EP resort. When we were staying by MK, we did MK. When we were staying by HS/EP, we did HS/EP. We knew we would have to take a bus to AK regardless of where we stayed, so we planned to do that park on our move day. With that approach, the only day we had to use the bus was on our AK day, so it minimized the amount of times we had to fold up and haul the Bob Double stroller that we were using. That thing was a bit of a beast too, so I understand not wanting to lug around a heavy stroller on a bus.

Have a great trip!

Where are you staying? We have taken a double and single the last three trips but stay on the monorail so we can take that or a boat back to the hotel without waking the kids. For HS we usually drive, because we already have a car there with their car seats. We do take a bus to AK and that is a pain but for us it’s only one day and doable. I don’t know anything about the stroller you have but we usually rent citimini’s from Kingdom Strollers. We did take our double BOB on one trip, one day requiring bus rides, but again it was doable for one day.

We are staying at all star music and have no car (flying in). So no monorail lol. I'm considering renting a citi mini are those hard to lug as well?

They are lighter than the joovy double because really every other stroller on earth is :scared: but they are still pretty big. Problem is, they have almost no basket space, especially compared to the joovy.

City Mini for sure, the canopies are awesome for the sun. The trick for the basket is to access it from the sides, not the back, and add a caddy to the handles for odds and ends. If you can get one of the boards for your older one to stand on, it’s handy when walking long distances.

I don’t think it’s a bad idea to bring three umbrella strollers, like the $14 Walmart type. I rented a double and I felt that it was ok but ehhh an umbrella stroller would have been fine. We had to get on a bus and my kids would wake up and the two year old wanted to walk most of the time. You have to park them for rides too so I just felt like they were just to get to point a to point b quickly especially if it will be hot when you go because you will be Trying to find air conditioning fast.

My daughter is planning to bring a Baby Trend Expedition Double Jogger stroller but it measures 31.5". How picky is Disney on measurements? Has anyone used one of these at WDW before?

You can always rent one from one of the many off site baby rental places. I see a lot of people with the double with the scooter platform for the third. You can browse the rental websites to see what's available.
