It is a period piece, it's just set in the 50s I think. They're wearing period clothes but pretty much look normal.

Yeah that's what I meant, he looks great for being in his mid- 40's though.

I agree.

I just hate how thin all these male actors are. I know they have to be but even when their "burly and strong" they're still so thin compared to normal everyday guys. Kellan looks in shape but so much thinner than guys I know that are just as buff. But he is a hell of a looker, I wouldn't mind being stuck somewhere with him.

I thought the same thing! A few of my guy friend's are much bigger then he is and still in shape. When I think of "Burly and Strong" I think of them. I wouldn't mind being stuck with him somewhere either!!

Steaminess is definitely needed. They both need to replace the previous bad experience with a new awesomely unicorn-filled experience. And yes, a date! They should try to date for real.

I'm not mad at her at all. She needs to make him grovel for being gone for so long. I HATE how Bella took Edward back so quickly in New Moon but I understood it, because I think if I was in the same situation I would take him back too. I mean him being a vampire and all.

I was waiting for his and only like 2 or 3 were present. But I loved his interactions with Carlisle. And I love Carlisle's reactions to everything. It's so sweet how happy he is by having a relationship with Bella. It's sweet.

i'm glad she is making him work for it as well, he should after what he put her through.

i am sure there will be lots of lovely unicorns to make up for it all

i want the next chapter!

i am in love with kristen's shoes in this photo! she is so lucky wearing those shoes, standing next to gorgeous rob!!

and i love the photo of rob in the top hat, a man who has a sense of humor and can be goofy makes me swoon, especially when they look that good

okay i'm back from my ridiculous road trip.

i had lots of time to think and of course i had lots of edwardly thoughts and twilight musings, here are a few:

musing #1

why a road trip with edward would be so much better than the one i'm on

1. edward would prefer to drive
2. he drives like a maniac, so we could get there in half the time.
3. i could stare at him
4. his hyper awareness of his surroundings would avoid creating road kill (thankfully i didn't either, but about a thousand bugs splatted my car)
5. he doesn't sleep so we would drive all night
6. i could stare at him
7. he would have an excellent collection of music for us to listen to
8. we wouldn't have gotten lost all over fort worth, tx and their ridiculous freeway system. he would have memorized all the roads and it would be smooth sailing
9. did i mention i could stare at him

musing #2

i love the band shiny toy guns and of course they were on my ipod. the song "you are the one" (one of my favorites) would play and i thought it suited new moon when edward is telling her he is never leaving her again. the whole song works, the chorus sums up what he is saying nicely.

musing #3

this is sort of an eeyore's butterfly type thought

in eclipse when edward starts looking through bella's closet at her unused birthday gifts, he acts like he is just noticing them for the first time. i think he knew since he had gotten back and he needed to get her out of town so he pretended to discover the tickets then.

now for the silly:

tiny volvo edward couldn't bear for me to be away for a whole week, so he tagged along for the ride.

here we are lost in fort worth, tx

here we are driving through east texas, which is rather pretty

here we are leaving albuquerque and their ridiculous 55 mph speed limit and the 10,000 manned highway patrol

here we are on pearblossom highway, almost home

alright, if i can remember more i will post them, i know i had more book thoughts and questions.

also a shout out to my twitter followers who ended up with an account of the cleanliness of restrooms across the south

Hilarious musings! I think any trip would be better with Edward and definitely for the staring.

Yes, musing #3, I thought he already knew about the presents too and brought it up just to get her to leave town.

When we went out to the mountains this weekend to check out the cabin we're renting Memorial Day and for a week this summer, we checked out the bathroom (ok, outhouse or as they call it in Montana when it's fancy, vault toilet) and took pics for my parents to see since they are going with us and are very concerned about it. Our pre-occupation with clean toilet facilities made me think of your road trip! I'll spare everyone the picture.

Absolutely! I'm sure that he would have brought up the stereo sooner or later precisely because it would hurt their feelings, but the whole thing was so obviously scripted to get her out of Forks without making her seem suspicious.

Okay, another random thought:

Given the drastic amount of blood that Bella lost (and even Carlisle said he may not have been able to save her) would she have been not quite as strong as a normal newborn vampire since there would be less blood to linger in her tissues after transformation? Could this have also helped with her super restraint? And maybe the reason Carlisle, Rosalie, Esme, and Emmett would have been able to abstain initially. All of them experienced significant blood loss due to their injuries before the transformation (well, I'm assuming Carlisle did). Perhaps the more blood in their system at the time of transformation the more wild they are. Not that they didn't have issues with Emmett.

Also, does anybody wonder what would have happened if they had delivered Renesmee immediately, or even halfway through the pregnancy? After all, she is immortal as well, so maybe the time in the womb was not as necessary as it is for human babies. Obviously they could have delivered her a few days sooner and been fine.

The wigs/dye jobs are SOOOO Flowers in the Attic-the movie

What I can see of Rosalie in the background looks fairly realistic. Wigs suck. - but yes, the Twigirls are all very, very beautiful women.
