I think they do take liberties to change it to a visual medium. That's why I was wondering if it was to make him look older (especially since it'll be hard to make him look bigger other than the muscle he's added) ....at least it's not a beard.

I was thinking about if they do Breaking Dawn how they'll do switching the POV around in a movie, if they'll bother or if really in the movie the audience has it's own point of view and isn't really Bella's or anyone else's.

Very true, taking a book to a movie is a daunting task, especially when the book has such devoted fans. I think they did great with what they were given but I just expect too much from things, lol. I'm an overachiever and I guess I project that onto others.

Actually, if you think about it the Tattoo makes sense. A lot of Native American tribes (or native tribes in many countires) would use primitive tattooing techniques to mark certain occasions or membership in a tribe. It is certainly a different type of thing than the white Joe Schmoe down the street getting Babe tattooed on his arm. It may be a throwback to that culture.
