i'm re-reading WA (third time now) in preparation for the next chapter. i have a load of books just waiting to be read but WA just roped me right back in.

come twitter, what can it hurt?

I've re-read it also third time but I can't go past Valentine's day into all the deep angst until I know I can read chapter 48!

I agree, all the deep angst kills me, but without a sort of conclusion with him coming back home I don't want to go on. I've been rereading all the outtakes to kill time.

Did you have a good time on your cruise? I need a vacation! Everyone's talking about theirs but the only one I have scheduled right now is a cabin on Memorial Day weekend and a cabin for a week in June.

It was wonderful! We had a great time. We're already planning our next one.

Any vacation is still a vacation!! Enjoy it for all it's worth whether it's a cabin or cruise :)

We will! It's what we do all the time, just not usually a cabin. Forest service cabins here are $35 a night so we decided to try it.

And possibly Disney in October...that's what I'm planning so far...

I want to plan disney soon but I'll be moving up to downtown Orlando in August for law school so I'm just going to get an annual pass and pretend I'm on vacation whenever I go.

Gracias! :goodvibes Your signatures always make me laugh :rotfl:

I like the first one! For some reason I love that line in the book and I hope they use that in some of their promotional stuff. It's a pretty powerful tagline that basically sums up New Moon.

Thanks to all you guys wishing me luck with the whole prom thing tonight!

I am feeling a little less stressed now. We just got back from getting the hair done, and it didn't take near as long as I thought it would. I went thru the car wash and filled it up with gas while hair was getting done. Now we actually have an extra hour to kill. We are ahead of schedule? :confused3That never happens to me!

One of the other gals mom's is riding with us, and we are taking the girls to Little Rock to eat dinner before prom. They had trouble all deciding on a restaurant that everyone liked, so it ended up being the Olive Garden. Which is fine with me. Can't wait for the salad! Before we go there , we are going to go by the Old Mill and take some pictures. I will try to post some tonight when we get home. ( if I am still moving by that time, and not dead on my feet! Too bad I'm not a vampire, wouldn't need sleep!) The Old Mill was in Gone With the Wind. In the beginning of the movie I think, it is the water mill thing. I'm not exactly sure what you call it. I will just have to make sure and post pics. It is a beautiful spot. I hope the pics turn out good. It's kind of windy here today.

One of yall asked about the 9th grade having prom. When I was in school, we only had the Jr/ Sr prom. The 9th grade had Homecoming, and the football players would ask a girl to "walk" with them. That somehow morphed into not having Homecoming for 9th graders, and having a 9th grade prom instead.:confused3 We were lucky enough to find a dress that was used, and it is just as pretty as any new ones. I know some of these girls are paying $400-$500 for a new dress. I just can't see spending that for a 9th grader. I told DD that when she was a Jr or Sr we will spend a little more, but I'm not gonna go broke for 9th grade!

Ok. Break time is over, I need to go change clothes myself!

Holy cow, $400 for a dress?! :scared1: I was homeschooled in high school and went to two homeschool proms (yes, it was as lame as it sounds) and I don't think I spent more then $100 on my dresses. Then again, I didn't care that much about the prom and I just went so I could say I did. It was super boring though.

I didn't want to be left out of twitter! I'm juliezphoto.

I'm following you!

We've got Aro!

Actor Michael Sheen, who played high-profile roles in The Queen andFrost/Nixon, is set to take on the role of Aro in New Moon, with an estimated £5million payday. This according to the Daily Mail, which says–

Sheen, 40, who made his name with uncannily realistic portrayals of well-known figures in Oscar-winning films The Queen, Frost/Nixon and The Damned United, will get his biggest pay cheque yet, a reported £5million, to star in New Moon.

In New Moon, Sheen will play Aro, the leader of an Italian vampire clan called the Volturi.

Director Chris Weitz confirmed Sheen’s casting to The Mail on Sunday and said he had ‘aggressively’ pursued the actor.

‘Michael’s role is so important because he’s the head of all vampires,’ he said. ‘Aro is, on the surface, a very gracious and friendly vampire, but beneath that he is a tremendous threat.’

Michael Sheen has previously played a vampire in Underworld.

He played a werewolf in Underworld, BTW, not a vampire, lol

Michael sheen has been cast as aro and confirmed by chris weitz. I would post a link but I don't know how with the phone

I'm confused, Aro is 40 but Caius is early 20's. I need to go read the book again and wrap my head around that - I pictured it totally differently! Both look like good actors though.

I was thinking the same thing. I just don't think that age was even mentioned in the books. The only thing described about the Volturi in NM is their appearance but nothing age specific, maybe I missed it. I'll be rereading new moon next so I'll have to pay close attention to that part.

I had the idea too that even though Aro is kind of the spokesman for the three of them, all three were in charge...

I am relieved though that they aren't casting all early 20 year olds for the vampires since in my head there was a diversity of age.
