Question:

Who do dazzles you more . . .

Rob Pattinson in Real Life OR

Rob Pattinson as Edward Cullen?

Yep, I'm avoiding doing housework and last minute Christmas preparations. Hubby is bathing the kids so I'm taking advantage of my time!:surfweb:

That's a hard one, so can't I just have both? Rob in RL on odd number days and Rob as Edward on even number days. Although, I do have to say that there are many times that I see pics or video of Rob in RL that I get the overwhelming need to brush his hair.

I just found this thread. Those books easily became my favs after the first read. I didn't read Twilight until right before the movie came out. I play a lot on the online game World of Warcraft, and haven't really read a book since I read the last Harry Potter. I went to Barnes and Noble, bought all four books, and had them read within the weekend.
When my mom was over this past weekend, and found out I had them, she asked to borrow them. Well by the time she left, she had forgotten that she wanted to borrow them. My problem is that I don't want to let her have them. They are like my babies. I know that my mom takes care of her books. After all she was the one that taught me to love books and take care of them. Is it weird that I trust my mom to take care of my DS's for a week while my DH and I went to Las Vegas, but I am having trouble letting her borrow my Twilight series?

My first response is Edward. BUT then RP is so darn cute in some of his interviews I could just slap someone.

And then I realize I am 16 years older than him. THEN I realize that I have ( and ashamed to admit) that I did ( albeit briefly ) date someone only 2 years older than him. So when you do the math, it's all so darn confusing no one cares. :rotfl:

There are so many other things I could be doing. I have not one present wrapped, and my house looks like Christmas threw up in it.

Anyone here read the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare? I was just looking through her MySpace and there was a quote from Stephenie that said: "Edward and Jacob, you know I love you dearly, but I'm spending the weekend with Jace." :rotfl: I agree with Stephenie, Jace is just... *fans self*

Better than Edward????

Fine, that's just more for me !

On second thought, I think I should conduct an extensive, in-home,closed experiment.

Of course, I would give you all a detailed report of my findings.

OT- Hey Sunny, Got my son a toddler bed yesterday to start the transition, and you know my little baby Edward started chewing on the new bed! At 15 months old he too likes to bite pillows and headboards!

well definitely Robert Pattinson IRL...he's WAY sexier being himself than he was as Edward. That was my big complaint with the movie...there were points in the movie where I actually thought he looked horrible and he doesn't look that way IRL..:lovestruc give me scruffy, dirty, smoking drinking Rob Pattinson anyday!

I don't know about you all.. but I imagined Bella to be ME when reading the books! :lmao: But yeah, I had no problem with Kristen as Bella. I just wished she smiled a bit more. I wanted to actually see the JOY she felt with being around Edward once she knew he was into her!

I would have been BEAMING in that movie!! :thumbsup2
I always pictured me as Bella and my DH as Edward. Of course, only in how he looks because my DH leaves his clothes laying on the floor, leaves the toilet seat up and snores. The real Edward is perfect.

I could totally relate to Bella nurturing her father. I'm a Martha wannabe. Plus, I'd venture to guess that the majority of us had Bella's idealistic view of love when we were 17.

Ooh, I almost forgot... how cool is THAT Laura? I picked you out immediately when they started running the clips of different women.

Does anyone here Twilight fanfiction? It's my guilty pleasure and some of them make me just bawl my eyes out. I just read one of those...

Great Googly Moogly keep him away from my daughter!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I would definitely take RPattz as Edward. Just because I love how Edward is portrayed in the book! Especially the old-fashioned gentleman.

Merry Christmas, everyone. :grouphug:

Oh no girls! On the thread about Spirit (entitled something along the lines of Worst Movie Ever is coming out) somebody called Twilight the worst movie ever! We must defend our movie!

More obsessiveness: I was so excited when I pulled a new bottle of Dial soap from the cabinet, and it was Freesia with TWILIGHT Jasmine. Dork, yep!

Went to viewing #6 last night. I've NEVER gone to see any movie this many times in the theatre!

Anyway, this time I noticed that Edward's eyes do not dilate, especially in the biology scene you can tell this, his pupils are wide, while Bella's are extremely closed.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Can I just say how much I looooove anything Twilight. Read the first book 2 days before movie release. Read the other 3 within the week. Also think Rob Pattinson is a total cutie!(although I'm 9 years older.)

That's so funny about the Dial. I had to buy body soap yesterday and Dial was on sale and guess which one I bought? Yep, same one! I giddily took it out of the bag when I got home and showed hubby. He just laughed and rolled his eyes. Silly hubby, doesn't he understand how fantastic Twilight is? Although I have to say he did voluntarily take me to the movies the day after it was released. Even after I told him about all the swooning audience members. So he's a pretty great guy.:lovestruc

That is too funny! I'm glad I'm not the only one having a problem sharing. My mom didn't even ask to borrow, she told. Usually I don't mind sharing but she is pretty tough on her books and they are usually pretty broken in by the time she finishes.(torn creased cover, spills tea on pages.) I was kinda hoping she'd forget to since she can be forgetful but of course she remembers the books. I gave her a quick book care lesson and hoped for the best. But I still fretted all week until it was returned. She now has New Moon and at least when she's finished with it I only have hard backs left. They're more durable.:thumbsup2

That is too funny! I'm glad I'm not the only one having a problem sharing.

I currently own two copies of Twilight. I share the softcover that my darling DSs spilled a slurpee on in their car and I horde my hard cover (which I accidentally spilled a Diet Coke into the collector slip case the first week I owned it...so I know where the boys get it from! :lmao: :scared1: ). I am trying for Twilight version number 3 now. I want the collector's cloth bound edition. Maybe I'll be able to keep that one nicer. :confused3 The other three hardcover books are in decent shape...let's see how long that lasts. :rotfl:

As for which Rob...I'd take either, any day! :cloud9:

Ha! I also spotted you right away. Right when the guy says, "who is number one? YOU (Then you see flash CP!)" You CP!! You are the woman of the year!!

::party::

One of my best friends brought me the CD to school, and also brought me a picture of RobPatt!

I read that they're calling him RPattz. :lmao: :cool2:

I love reading that there are others out there just like me lol

::welcome::

Hmmm.. That's another great one for my list! Thanks for the tip

I have to agree with Shyviolet. I love RPatz in real life. I wish he would/could have played Edward with an English accent. He's so sweet and cute. In the movie, sometimes, he seems consitpated. But, still hot. Hot and constipated. That is not ok. :rotfl:

Merry Christmas to all of you
Happy, Wonderful, and Joyous holidays to you, too! :santa:

I love that everyone here thinks like me. It's so nice to not have to hide my crazy.

My Aunt just called me to request the rest of the books, she started Twilight today and is going to finish it tonight. If I don't bring it I'm not allowed to come to Christmas dinner.

Christmas night we will crochet and talk about Twilight. I swear we are fun.

Nice! I was pretty Twilight obsessed when I saw the movie and went on my TR. My DH was very patient but I started feeling weird after awhile. I wish I had somebody to knit and gossip with. Oh wait, that's why I'm here with you guys! ;)

Keep the smoking. I can't make out with a smoker. WHat! It could happen! :snooty:
