Yea but I just don't think it's going to be that big of a deal. And even if they shoot these movies back to back, Kristen Stewart will be what, 22-23 when they finish up and Rob will be 26? There's nothing they can do about that. The kids from HP were different, kids that age are growing and changing a little more dramatically then an 18 or 22 year old.

Oh, it wouldn't matter to me, but I can understand the thinking behind their decision. It has the potential to be very bad, but like I said, I'm a hopeless optimist.

I added the gangsta symbol to my siggie! Lightning bolts strike me down! :rotfl:
I just did too. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
I got a blue banana...I got a blue banana......:woohoo:

OMG everytime I saw you guys with the blue banana siggie I kept giggling my pants off!

How do we add the frozen blue banana to our signatures?
OK Mel, how do I get the blue banana?????

See Avalon's post below. After pasting into the "mountain icon" don't forget to check the begining of the line and make sure there aren't 2 sets of the "http://" parts. That will help.

Right click on it. Click properties. Highlight and copy the url, http/www. etc. then go to your user CP and click edit signature. Click where you want it in your siggie, then go up to the toolbar above the box where you design your siggie, and hit the little icon, second from the right, that looks like a mountain ("insert image"). Paste the url there. Voila.

Yeah, "The Host" is being sent to my local library for pick up in a few days. for those of you who have read it, does it have some of that "Twilight" flavor?

The begining takes a bit to get through but it's really worth it. I loved The Host and so did DH. I laughed and cried. It's very good.

OMG OMG OMG OMG.... I HAVE to go!!!! Lucky me, I'm only 45 min from the city... :cloud9:  :woohoo:

Woo Hoo You! :yay: Make sure you take and post lots of pics!

Has been a crazy couple o' days here at work... but have had chance to also have soundtrack playing here in office, which has helped... ha-ha!

Hope that everyone has been doing great.

Hi SSB!

More worrying...

Summit Entertainment has tentatively slated Nov. 20, 2009, as the release date for New Moon, the Twilight sequel, which means any director
who signs on to replace Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has to be in Vancouver by Dec. 15 to begin 12 weeks of preproduction before a mid-March start date. Reports have speculated that Hardwicke was fired for being difficult on set, but sources close to her suggest Summit's aggressive production schedule turned her off. "She'd love to do the sequel if she could do it better than Twilight,” says one. “It *became clear that Summit didn’t have those same priorities."Indeed, at press time the second movie appeared to have *little more than a rough first-draft working script.

That's exactly what I figured. It doesn't bode well for the film if you ask me (which, of course, they didn't. :lmao: ). Also, I could tell in an interview she (CH) was struggling with the idea of keeping on LT as Jacob. Looks like he may go the way of the wind...

Well there goes all my high hopes for a better film. I may only go see the second one half a dozen times... :snooty:

:rotfl:

Meee too. Hmph! :snooty:

Also is it wrong for a mom to want a Twilight Shirt ?

HECK NO!! Get the shirt!! I suggest make your own...

Thanks guys! I'm glad you liked my silly post. I get quite a kick outta myself. :dance3:

I would hate to see a choped up verson of New Moon just so Edward is in it more . Anyone else think they may do this ?

I dunno... I agree with Jenn1116. I think they could put plenty of Edward in. We'll see.

I'm not a person who needs Edward to be in the movie, anyway. :scared1: ::duck::

I liked the story the way it was w/o him. I was mad at him during the book (New Moon) anyway cause he left her! I was partially debating Team Jacob at that time!

Of course I know better NOW (there could never be Bella and NOT Edward.).. but Stephanie had me doubting at the time. We forget how it was to be reading for the first time.... it's hard to imagine, for me, Bella and NOT Edward but at that time there was a glimmer of uncertainty. I'm OK with that. It worked.

I just have a really bad feeling about all this. :sad2:

Well, at least we'll always have the books. My imagination is always better than what they can do on screen, anyway!
\\

True and the movie in my mind goes way beyond the books and is totally appropriate for this non-young adult. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Wow - I am truly shocked they want to rush this movie. Have they NOT learned?? And whats up with giving them only 50 million?? Did they not notice the money ROLLING in from Twilight??? I am worried about this now.... especially Lautner... I think my daughter will die of heart ache if they take him out of it. We shall see I guess..... now off to figure out how to put my blue banana in my siggy. :)

Although he is not how I picture Jacob, I absolutely loved Taylor Lautner. They should have thought about the other movies when they cast him, and I think it would be just downright cruel to give him the boot after one movie.

IMO, they should not switch actors for roles unless completely necessary (like Dumbledore in Harry Potter).

I agree! I mean it broke my heart to have another Dumbledore, but it was completely necessary, as you said.

I will be sad if Taylor Lautner doesn't get the chance to reprise the role. I've grown a little attached to him as Jacob, already.

ETA:
Hey Breezie,

I didn't see About a Boy. Glad to hear it gets at least one :thumbsup2 . I did sorta hear some buzz about it but that's it. The article said he produced AP, so that's not a directorial example.

Thanks for clarifying for me! He definitely gets some points for About a Boy!

now off to figure out how to put my blue banana in my siggy. :)

I did it the bonehead way.... I right clicked and saved the blue banana on my computer. I then uploaded it to Photobucket and then used their image code to insert it in my signature. I am certain that the other way is easier but this worked for me so I'm not messing with it. :lmao:

(sorry, not implying that you're a bonehead then) ;) The "easy" way never seems to work for me anyway. :lmao:

LOVE the dancing wolf (not Jacob though :rotfl: ). Where are you finding these adorable smilies?

A fly by posting from Hollywood...thought you guys would enjoy these.

So popping in to say I am still working on Twilight. Sadly due to my work schedule, I really do not get a lot of reading time in. I usually read a bit before I go to sleep, but the last few days I have been WAY to tired to.

I will say though I am up to Chapter 6 and I must say, what is with vampires and there need to be so protective..its so romantic. I noticed it in TrueBlood as well..

So far, I am enjoying it. I brought the book to work with me tonight, hope to sneak in some reading.

OK, you know how all you wonderful people say stuff like, "I'm on my 3rd time reading the books" or "I just finished Eclipse for the fourth time" or whatever? How do you do that? Because I have them ALL just lying around my house, and I will pick up any of them that happen to be nearby and just sort of open it up and start reading in random pages. Or flip to a favorite part. So heaven knows how many times I've "read it," because I've probably read the chapters like "Phenomenon" and "Isle Esme" twenty times... and the one about the werewolf beach barbecue twice. :rotfl2:

And for all you crazy moms juggling kids, soccer, piano lessons, and Christmas shopping etc.-- you know who you are!-- I dunno about you, but a lot of my reading happens in the bathroom. Because the door is locked and nobody will burst in on me unless they're, like, bleeding to death or something. I can get through a whole chapter (sometimes more!) before my absence is noticed. :rotfl:

the first time I read them, DD learned how to make chicken nuggets in the microwave! :rotfl2: I did them all in a week, and I'm pretty sure I didn't sleep. Started reading them again as soon as I finished because I had read them so fast I was sure I had missed something. Luckily it was soccer season and practice was an hour and a half.
I have seriously not read anything since I found them. I also lucked out because DD looooooves to read, so we have reading night about 3-4 times a night where we get all snuggly in my bed and read!
Of course, on the first go-round I did tell her unless she was bleeding on something was on fire to please leave Mommy alone with her book!! :rotfl2:

The first time I read them was over Halloween week when I had the Flu- lots of time sitting around so I read all four that week.

Now I pick one up here and there before bed and read and it just takes me back to Forks and my happy place...... ah...... gotta love it!

Hi Dax,
I am a newbie like you and about half way through new moon. The only difference is I am sleep deprived because I read at night and then can't put it down till my eyes start closing and my mind gets fuzzy. :lmao:

Glad to hear you are enjoying it for the first time like myself.

That's how I finished reading Twilight on Thanksgiving Day...with all my guests at our home!! (Thank goodness my non-vampire man knows how to cook!). I took a few 10 minute breaks so I could finish the last chapter! :cool1:

I sat down with Twilight again the other day and sped read through areas. I def. want to take a slow read with New Moon because I was so anxious reading it the first time. Meyer really recommends that for people who have only read it once, and I can def. see why she does.

I read all 4 books in a week. Piles of dirty laundry, cereal for dinner. Hubby was a good sport. He was excited to see me so passionate about something. Now it probably irritates him! Even my 5 year old can tell you the story, all the characters, who is dating, etc. I'm trying to turn to coven of young newborns!! I'd stay up until 1:00 in the morning, prying my eyelids open, but there never seemed to be a good place to stop!

My friend mentioned that she wants to get a Twilight tattoo and offered to "buy" me one too. I told this to hubby, and his answer was, "Well, I know you really like this stuff now, but what happens in three years when you are over it and you're branded." Over it? Stupid man!

So, what should we get as our tattoos?;)

Anyone seeing the movie tomorrow on the original release date? I plan to watch it at DTD after arriving at WDW tomorrow.

Lucky, I want to be in DTD tomorrrow!! Have a great visit at the World! I wish Twilight was a Disney thing... that way you could go over to the Haunted Mansion and take pics with Edward. (just kidding...well kinda...)

I was thinking, I wonder how Twilight would have been if done by the same guy who did the "Romeo and Juliet" 90's version... Although I know he did M. Rouge as well and that would have been way over the top.
