Midnight Sun... I so hope she gets around to finishing it. And aren't I just bad for wishing this particular angle of the book would not be aimed to the young adult audience.
Now THAT would make it a more fun read...especially as you get towards the later books. hehe.

I said practically the same thing (can't remember which board I was on) and got blasted about how Stepenie's a Mormon and she'd never..... So glad that others actually do feel the way I do. I don't mean it in an insulting way, she just gives us so much to think about, I'd love to read an adult version of the series. Glad to be in the gutter with y'all!

I love how Jasper looks like he's brooding/pouting insteas of Edward Scissorhands scared and constipated.

I love how Mike is portrayed as handsome. In the book I felt like ...well, she could like him... she says he's nice and he seems to be caring. In the movie he seems to be just young and an annoying class clown. They really played up that "baby face" line from the book when they picked that actor, didn't they?? I think he's got a job on the Disney Channel if he doesn't get recast in this series. lol

I love the look of this Jacob! It's like they made the Forks kids all ultra hip (which was fine) but the Native American kids felt very stereotypical. I like the easy going nature of the Jacob in this pic.

And the Bella.. while I prefer the look of the movie Bella .. the Japanese one seems to petite (but I've had Japanese people at my home.. they're petite and they have a hard time imagining how much food we eat. LOL). Our Bella didn't have the "kindness" quality that I felt the book Bella had. She was a little too intimidating and harsh feeling. I can't put my finger on it. I think the real person that played Bella is a little bit too serious and it came through. (There's nothing wrong with being serious, I'm not saying that). I realize that's nit picky as the actress is only just getting into her role but ... did anybody else feel that? I'm struggling to see her as any kind of "sweet" you know?

There's "Handsome Mike" and "Sweet Bella" again. LOL

Love that shot of the girls looking young and like they're just eavesdropping on "adult" conversation (as opposed to being the adults like Dawson Creek style all the time). It will be interesting to see how the Black's home is portrayed. It's so small and cramped and all those big werewolves..

I love how Charlie is seen with a beer again...

I love how Esme looks concerned here. In the book I felt she was kind but also fairly somber. The movie Esme was a little bit Stepford Wife.

I love Carlisle tall! He seemed little in stature in the movie. Was he supposed be tall or short? I realize Stephanie picked these characters so obviously they fit better than my or the Japanese version!

I love "street thug" James! I hate ponytail James! LOL

I love how Edward is sucking lovingly. I realize it was torture but he looked so AWFUL in that scene in the movie (sorry I know I've already said that!)

See! Jacob is HOT there! Ok, now this is a 17 yr old guy, no 100 yr old excuses. I'm not allowed to say that BUT I can remember back to what I used to think was hot and this Jacob is HOT.

Oh please oh please recast Jacob. I know Taylor is "adorable" but he's not BIG and IMPOSING and in order to be believable as somebody she might go with whilest Edward is gone, he better be HOT. I'm just sayin'

In the movie they kept saying it was the Prom and I know in the book it was that girls-choice dance, but doesn't she go with Ben? 'Cause of what happened in MS?? In the movie she went with Eric. Did they just cut Ben out?

She went with Ben, she was never even interested in Eric, lol
The movie combined some characters together. Lauren and Jessica are combined in Jessica and Ben and Eric are combined in Eric.
