I post on other Twilight forums. Can't you just save the picture and load it to yours? (I'm not much of a computer whiz)

Sure! Didnt think of that, thanks!! What other sites do you chat about Twilight??

My thoughts...

1. Every interview I have seen with Kristen Stewart and Robert talking, he looks so sweet at her, and she seems like she is on something and doesn't seem to acknowledge he exists!

2. She has already completed one movie since Twilight, and is in another one right now. (IMDB.com) Will they be making all the books into movies? I was wondering because of the age issue (Like Harry Potter).

3. Umm.... Jacob is way hotter in the movie than I had pictured in my head, kudos to the Director!!

4. Kristen Stewart was in "Panic Room" as Jodi Foster's daughter, and she actually reminds me of Jodi Foster. Seems smart, quiet, likes to act, but just doesnt seem to have any other tone than MONOtone.

5. I think I need a Twilight support group.... anyone game? :)

Ladies, while it's admirable that you want to share your Twilight love and joy with your SO, I honestly can't imagine that there is a man alive who wouldA)ENJOY the books or B) ADMIT he enjoyed the books, even if he did read them.

My dad read it, because he likes supernatural type books. I wish I had known he was reading it before he started. Poor man. I had to listen to him complain about it for hours when he came to visit me and saw my book on the mantle. How he was "tricked" into reading some fluffy, touchy-feely- teen "trash". I LAUGHED so bad at him!!

Does anyone know a male who actually read it AND liked it?

Check out TwilightMoms - there is a Whole section called TwilightMen and there are quite a few male members there who have read and enjoyed the series:) There are a few hubby's out there that have enjoyed reading the series with their wives. Also check out a popular blog called Twilightguy - it is a written by a guy who is reading the TwilightSeries. It's kind of funny to read his point of view on things - lol

My hubby just finished reading them and liked them a lot. He usually reads man books, but he started with the Host and agreed to try the Twilight saga. Meyer is a wonderful writer. I can't imagine a fan of reading not liking them :confused3

Guy-Twi reader here as well... loved the Harrry Potter series (swear, think that I had gone through six times, and conventions, etc...) and kept hearing great things about the Twilight series. Finally read Twilight last week and enjoyed quite a bit ... just started New Moon yesterday and liking. Nothing wrong with romantic love and good story-telling... and I think both involved from my perspective.

On side note checked for VF last night, but was still an earlier issue on local newstand. Hope to check out soon.

Hey ladies of Twilight - I need your help!

I am going on a cruise the week of Thanksgiving and I am traveling for work the week before!

I would really like to TIVO all of the Twilight interviews when they do their promo tour. If you guys hear about an interview, could you post it here so I can schedule it to record? I would be so grateful! :worship: I am sure they will be on Ellen, Today show, etc. making the rounds.

I have to say that in all the interviews I have seen so far Rob and Kristen are horrible! I think they are both shy, but I love hearing Rob's accent, so that's worth it alone!:thumbsup2

Maybe we could start a running list. I have not heard of any yet though!

My dad must be an old fuddy-duddy. Serisouly though, he loves vampire and werewolf books (he calls them snarly-toothy books). I would've warned him that Twilight was definitely not a snarly-toother if I'd known he was going to read it. My mom wants to read it but now thinks she won't like it because my dad didn't. I've been trying to convince her to give it a try anyway. She's also worried because she has a mild type of dyslexia that makes reading a bit tough...so she's always hesitant to start reading a new book since it can be quite the chore.

Maybe I can get her the book on tape for Christmas?

Ok, I have been compiling a list in my head of ways my hubby is like/unlike Edward. Here they are:

Similarities :lovestruc
- He has great hair and lots of it
- Plays piano (I love this!)
- Very affectionate
- Bossy
- Likes to drive fast and scares me to death
- Has some annoying family members
- Would fight vampires for me!!

Differences
- Not immortal
- Not filthy rich
- Very warm blooded :rolleyes1
- Doesn't hunt for his food
- Impatient
- Lacks self-control (which works out well at times!)

I think he stacks up pretty well! :lovestruc Although the filthy rich part would be nice.

Anyone else have a similar list?

Oh the book on tape would be a wonderful idea for your mom. I haven't listened to them but there are many fans who love them:thumbsup2

Has your dad read the Southern Vampire series or any of the other popular Vamp books that are out now - there are some good snarly toothy ones but you have to watch those because some of them have very adult content. Nothing wrong with that though;)

Adult content is fine with him, as long as somebody gets torn to shreds along the way.

:rotfl2: Well there are quite a few out there right now - the new HBO show True Blood is based on the Southern Vampire Series by Charliane Harris and it is pretty good - lots of blood, murder mystery type stuff and some human and vampire interaction:thumbsup2 And it acutally has some pretty good humor in it. I found it a good read.

Here is the first book in the series....

I'll be honest. From a personal POV, I wish that Twilight was a bit more adult. I wanted fangs and a little more grizzle (and maybe a hot and steamy scene or two thrown in), but I'm ok with how she did it. It appeals to a borader audience this way. I found it very neat of her to be able to incorporate tenents of her faith into a book about Vampires.

I have to agree - I love the Twilight Series for what it is but I love a good Vamp book with a bit more steam and fangs to it:lmao:

I do love that my DD can read Twilight and we can talk about it though - I wouldn't let her read the other books I've been reading though;) Not yet anyway.

That is a very good idea... and not bad on Amazon at all. The later books more expensive, but guessing as newer/longer.
