:sad1:

That's not the first inconsistency either. The fight sequence with James is off in a few ways. I guess they have to make changes for the movie to work. Since Stephanie Meyer was so involved with production, I hoped they would stay as true to the book as possible.

Either way...I am looking forward to the movie coming out. I know it will be no match for my imagination, but I think I will still enjoy it.

Oh no, so many inconsistencies! Like some scenes are word for word with the book, but the background is completely different. Like the one where in the book it happens in the car, but the movie it is in the woods at school. Odd!

Only one scene really bothers me though!

All that said, I can't wait to see it!

I can totally understand where you are coming from in terms of the little things being changed. BUT I think most of it was done really well. There were a few things that bugged me a bit (PM me if you wanna discuss) but overall I liked it. I'm glad to know whats going to happen before I see it so I'm not too surprised by the changes. I'm sure I'll read it again before the movie and maybe even change my mind. LOL.

I'm just happy to have anything to devour about these books right now, esp. since it's only a few days left! I have warned my husband that I am reading until I am done, as soon as I get the book. He's cooking and there are enough leftovers.

omg ...my friend is constantly pointing out how this isnt right and that wasnt what was said and they didnt do this...its driving me mad...i am so not going with ANYBODY to see the movie:rotfl2: ...Im just going with the flow because if I start picking at it then Im not going to like it as much...only thing I can do is separate myself from the books and what the movie will show:confused3

I think what people need to keep in perspective is that this is a book, first. It was not a screenplay, not a script. The filmmakers know what they are doing better than we do. A book has hundreds of pages to build story, plus we are right in Bella's head. For a movie, we are removed and they have around 2 hours to tell the story. It has to appeal to fans of the book and people who have never picked it up. We (the rabid fans) know too much. We know the future. If I drag my friend who's never read the books to the movie, it's going to need to appeal to her as well. It's going to be different, it always is. We can't get upset, just enjoy the ride.

I do agree with some of the changes or add ons, they have to show the audience these things...cause in the book, they were just in someones head. Some of the changes though, didn't need to be that way.

The cheesiest part IMO is the pepper spray add on (we see that in the video we have all watched) ...sorry, but dumb!

Don't read it! I am not really thrilled with it. SO many things have been changed, just little stuff, but irritating to me! Some of the things I don't like at all. I am sure there is a reason behind them being the way they are. Not a spoiler ahead really......... Some are just dumb changes...like when the girls go to Port Angeles to shop and they are supposed to go to the Italian restaurant. In the movie, it is a Steakhouse. Why change that?

Well, i've seen pictures from the movie and it doesn't look like a Steakhouse, it's a small restaurant called the Bloated Toad (:rotfl: ) and it looks small and really charming.
Plus, we must remember that THIS script was last revised in January, a lot has changed since then. Like the lullaby isn't in the script, but now we know it will be in the movie.

Oh and one thing I love about the script is the fact that they developed the relationship between Bella and Charlie a lot, and I adore that. The pepper spray is funny and so totally Charlie. XD

He doesn't even take her into the steakhouse, he takes her to the Boardwalk place, for a ham and cheese, maybe that is the Bloated Toad! :)

Oh and I want to see the pictures! Where are you getting all this stuff anyway?

I love this thread!! Where do you gals get all this great info? Can I get a copy of the script too?

Anyone want to speculate what todays quote of the day could mean?

** I must have posted when you did Caribbeanprincess, thanks for the pics!!

Ok, so I am 1/2 through Eclipse and seriously considering NOT attending a mini family reunion on Saturday. My a/c is broke in my car and driving 2 hours in 90 degree heat with 90% or more humidity is not quite as appealing as reading Breaking Dawn. Hell, driving 20 minutes with perfect weather isn't appealing to me right now.

I really need to do some laundry however, or I will have to wear pajamas to work tomorrow. I am seriously obsessed with these books.

Desnik,

When I read todays quote I got a really bad feeling about it:confused:

sunnyday123,

I am with you lol My 13th anniversary is this weekend and th ekids are away lol and I told DH we will not do anything special (little does he know I will be reading hehehehe)

Anyone else not like Edward's volvo in the movie? It looks like a hatchback. Totally not the volvo I pictured. I though of this:

Me too! I really really hope no one dies in the final book, but they probably will. I am also worried about how Bella reacts to the smell of blood. And if she is turned how that will play out when she is a vampire.

I vaugely remember anniversaries!! You could give him either 1) honey I don't feel well and hole up in the bedroom or 2) tell him it's no more special then every other day you have with him, and spending the last 13 years with you are celebration enough. Or just quote something Edward has said to Bella. He'll probably be so confused he'll gladly leave you alone all weekend!!!

Seriously 13 years is a loooooong time, congrats!!

I had read an interview with Kristen from Comic-Con where she was asked how closely the movie followed the books. She hesitated and then said that the characters were really true to the books. I read the script with that in mind and I think she was right. I really think that they have added to the script anyway because we all know about Bella's Lullaby being in there now and that's not in the script.
I am on vacation tomorrow so I will be getting the housework done so I can read my book on Saturday!!!!!:woohoo:

Today's quote is very upsetting. I'm bummed that I can't read the comments on Twilight Moms now. I liked seeing what people were thinking.

Did you read that article where Stephenie said that they asked her to tone down the violence in BD? Yikes!!:scared1:

Caribbeanprincess, :worship: :worship: :worship: Thank you for the script!!!!

Jennasis, I thought of the same kind of Volvo too!! I'm not a big fan of the hatchback!;)

I'm not liking these quotes of the day! LOL It's leaving me with too much speculation and I can't take it! I really want Bella to be a vampire and have nothing go wrong with the transformation. But something has to connect with the fact that the sight/smell of blood makes her faint. I mean why put it in the books if it wasn't going to be an issue later? I'm just really curious to see how that will play out.

I am so excited for tomorrow night!!!

So who all is going to a breaking dawn party tomorrow night?
I'm trying to decide between borders and barnes and noble. I want a cute host t-shirt idea that i can whip together.
any ideas?
