I am picturing Robert Pattinson as Edward as I read, but I am picturing Rachel Bilson as Bella. She fits Bella's description perfectly!

I've never seen it. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, right? Nope. I don't know what Angel is. Now I'm supremely curious.



I'm currently reading the new Janet Evanovich book called, "Plum Lucky" it's and in-between-the-numbered books in her Stephanie Plum series. These are my comedy break from the vampires, I guess. Great books also!

Yep Buffy The Vampire Slayer - It really is a very good series - very funny and lots of action, really well written. "In every generation there is a chosen one, she alone will stand against the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness. She is the slayer" The series starts out with Buffy a 16 year old girl who finds out that she is a vampire slayer. She meets Angel, a vampire with a soul. He helps her hunt down vampires and demons and they end up falling in love but he is cursed. Mmmmmmmmmm...Angel ( he is yummy!!) Angel is on the first 3 seasons of Buffy then he moves to LA and has his own series "Angel" Both shows were very good!! And the Buffy and Angel love story was wonderful and heartbreaking. I won't spoil it too much in case you want to check it out. Both the Buffy and Angel Series are out on DVD. Buffy was on for 7 seasons and Angel for 5. If you watch them make sure to watch the first 3 seasons of Buffy before starting the Angel series. It was sad after they split into two different series but many of the characters from each show occasionally popped up in cross over episodes. I loved Buffy and Angel.

I just read Twilight for the first time last night/this morning--it was awesome! I need to get the other two books NOW!

The Twilight series is awesome!! I can't wait for the 4th book!

And if you love Buffy you might want to check out a new book by a new author called "Halfway to the Grave" by Jeaniene Frost. I just started it and the main vampire reminds me of Spike - lol I am loving it so far

I just picked up Twilight on everyone's recommendation. I don't want to start it yet. My son has belt testing today for Kung Fu and I don't think it would look good to bring a book. My boys also have book club tommorrow so I am not going to have a good reading day until Tuesday.

Just got Twilight for my classroom. My girls are delighted. My boys were even intrigued when I mentioned vampires!

That is wonderful I have been trying to get my son to read it. He is curious because all the girls love it so I may get him to pick it up and read it yet. He really wants to know what all the fuss is about. lol

Welcome to the Twilight thread!! I love Twilight but before Bella and Edward it was Buffy and Angel for me With a little bit of Spike thrown in I think Joss Whedon helped start this vampire craze that is going on right now too bad they weren't more popular a few years ago when Angel and Buffy were still on we might have gotten a couple more seasons I love the musical episode of Buffy. After looking at some Buffy,Angel and some Spike videos on YouTube today I think I need to get the DVD's out and start over again to tide me over until the 4th book comes out from Stephenie.

Oh and check out the book I posted earlier "Halfway to the Grave" I just started it and it really has a Buffy vibe - the main vampire 'Bones" has a total Spike thing going on ETA: This book does have some adult language and adult situations. It is not a young adult book for those that are interested.

Movie update On IMDB the Twilight movie is now showing as "In Production" instead of Pre Production That means they are getting started!! Still no word on the other cast members though.

I caught an old Buffy show on early one morning and remembered just how good the series was; have since rented every season from the library and my kids are now enjoying it as well.

Although Angel + Buffy were sweet, I'll take Spike over Angel anytime!

I have all the DVD sets and I just started rewatching them this week. It is really good , great writing, funny, lots of action and two of the sexiest vampires around I love Buffy and Angel together however I'd take Spike anyday too I have to admit I have a crush on both Angel and Spike

According to the Lex this morning..Stephanie Meyer will be posting a chapter of her upcoming book The Host on her MySpace page on Valentines Day.

I'm not much into aliens, BUT, given how much I LOVE the style of Stephanie's writing I can't wait to check this out!

I believe the book is set to come out in May.
