i, of course, love edward. i do believe bella needs jacob in her life but not as a boyfriend. at first i was like ""jacob and bella might work. it could be the best thing for her."" but i just finished rereading the books for the fourth time and i realize now that her and edward are made for each other. so with that being said i'll take jacob :]

I totally agree with you but the one thing that bothers me is that she lets him hold her and hold her hand knowing full well that he has feelings for her...that part I dont think she should do.....

I agree about the way Bella lets Jacob hold onto her, but, keep in mind that they are so young. What a choice! Vampire or Werewolf! Team Edward all the way...

If you're looking for another good vampire series, please check out Katie MacAlister's Dark Ones series. I've read almost all her books (and she's got lots) and they're all very good

I don't know how the scenes will look in the final movie, but in the partial scene on MTV, she does get thrown across the room- looks to me like she puts her hand to the back of her head, and it comes away bloody. There looks like a cutaway, and when we see Bella next, she is gasping and holding her leg, so it looks like it might be broken, too. I think she will end up injured (at least a little) in the movie- maybe not as badly beaten as in the book, but still pretty bad.

Just my opinion, BTW...

your the bomb brier rose...thanks...scene was great...however, looking at edward, he seems skinny and I never got that he is totally skinny like that...I thought he would be chiseled somewhat...oh and why is carlisle sooooooooo young??? he looks as young as the kids

If I remember correctly, he was only in his mid 20's when he was turned into a vampire- nobody in the Cullen family is over the age of 25 or so (well, has aged past the mid 20's, that is...). They explain it away to the humans by saying Carlisle and Esme can't have kids, so they adopted the Cullen teens.

Well you can count me in as a new groupie for the twilight series !!
I actaully came across this thread a day after I looked at teh books at Target, after reading this thread I went back an bought Twilight, read it in 2 days then went right out and bought New Moon, then was totally excited when my daughters teacher gave me a gift card for helping out in the class this years. SOOO I took my GC and went and bought Eclipse, halfway througj the book. I am totally hooked and cant wait till Breaking Dawn come out.
I am prett happy with the casting, My daughters name is Rosalie, so of course I have a soft spot for her... and pictured my daughter at that age.

At work there are 3 of us hooked on the books, and the one ( he just graduated for HS) got my T-shirt transfers from my SE Eclipse.

OMG I am so hooked on these books!!! I just read the first 2 in 4 days! Now today I will start Eclipse. I love Edward!! I also really like the kids they picked for the cast. I am so happy to find others to share my obsession with!! My younger sister who is 16 told me about the books and she loves them too.
