Anyone else going to the midnight premiere??? SOOO excited... cannot wait!!!:goodvibes

Amy

DW is thinking she wants to go to the 12:01 showing tonight, but I don't know if I can handle that AND getting to work at 7AM tomorrow! :confused3

DH is getting the "cool dad" points and taking DD14. He even overruled me and is letting her sleep in tomorrow and go to school late.

It is probably not going to be very good.

The book was good, but I just don't know about the movie

I saw the movie yesterday here in Sweden and from two 25 year old, 1 guy and 1 girl, it was amazing! We were both totally dazzled!

Have fun !

GETTING READY TO GO!!! OK - I am not all that excited, but DW is and since she has put up with me and my excitment for movie premieres (Star Wars, anyone??) I am excited for her. I know little to nothing about this characters, plot, etc., so I will be a pure movie goer vs. someone who is comparing to the books. I even got out of work early for this, although I will be making it up by going in on Sunday......bummer. Anyway, I will let you know if I (and more importantly - she) liked it when we get back. I am mostly looking forward to going out for sushi afterwards! :cool1:

I saw it yesterday with my DD, 13, who saw it 3 times over the weekend. Friday night with friends, Saturday evening with another group of friends and then Sunday with me. She absolutely loved it. I thought it was okay.

I told my DH I hope they had the actress playing that role that way on purpose, if not, she is a terrible actress. She seemed so awkward and choppy. But how would I react around a vampire? So maybe that is how they asked her to play the role.

What did everyone else think?

I think she was trying to be like the introverted subculture of teens that don't really know where they fit in. Certainly not part of the mainstream like most high school movies depict. DW - the Twilight enthusiast and one with the counseling degree - is the originator of said analysis, but I think she is right on with that. Personally, I did think the sushi after the movie was MUCH better than the movie, but man i love our local sushi restaurant! :lmao:

Yeah, I saw the movies. LOVED them. Kristen was not the world's best actress, but in the context of Bella, it was okay.

I was actually so hyper after the movie, that I made four videos, each going through each Twilight book in 10 minutes or less. It was enjoyable.

Took DD to see it this weekend. I have not yet read the books, but she has read the first two. She was ON THE EDGE OF HER SEAT! There were lots of groups of teenaged girls who were screaming as each character was introduced - both DD and I were annoyed by that. I enjoyed the movie quite a lot.

I saw it tonight and liked it more than I thought I would!! I went with my (almost 60 year old) father and he surprisingly loved it!:rotfl:

I've only read the first two books but I think now I just might read the second two. What can I say, guilty pleasure!:goodvibes

Loved Robert Pattinson!!
