Two weeks ago, they had Twilight socks and Team Jacob shirts in the Terminator gift shop.:confused::confused:

Ugh... :sad2:

I don't know why the Twilight series is so popular. I've seen the first two movies, and they really should have anti-depression medication advertisements every half an hour. What a DEPRESSING series! At least Harry Potter had SOME bright spots... :confused3

I thought the same thing about the movies until I read the books. WOW! The movies do the books no justice. Give Twilight (the book) 30 pages, I swear you'll be hooked. It took me 3 years to read it, friends kept bugging me, I had no desire. Finally I said ok, I'll give you 30 pages, that's it. I had the series read in 2 weeks.

I honestly don't get the hype. The books are written poorly and Bella is the mary-sue of mary-sues, but to each their own. :)

Amen!

But I think the same about HP. Great imagination - no writing skills. Couldn't make it thru the first few pages.

I enjoyed the Harry Potter books more so than Twilight, but I stopped reading after book 3 because book 4 was way too long for me to read when it came out and I ended up not picking it back up.

We recently had a Twilight Convention at the Stephen's Convention Center in Rosemont, IL (right by the O'Hare airport), which is about 20 minutes from my house. I'm glad I stayed away from that area during that weekend. I was happily watching my boyfriend ride his motorcycle on the track. :cool1:

One of Universal's Halloween Horror Nights "scarezones" is called The Coven, and I think it might be over by T2 3D. Might be why there is Twilight merchandise on sale over there.

You can find more HHN information here...

That would explain it. I've always thought of the Terminator gift shop as the refuge for the gamer/movie geeks who get dragged around Orlando (and I say so lovingly, I always end up getting a friend or family member a gift there).

Yep..books are much better.

The movies are a sad shame in comparison. Although the cast of boys is nice to look at! ;)

Exactly. The books are amazing and the movies are so blah. Well the first three books are good. The last one was disappointing but still entertaining.
