Twilight check in question

Hi all,

so......as we are flying from Bordeaux first we are going to be at Gatwick airport for 11am the day before our flight staying at the Hilton, I know that the twilight check in opens at 12:00, my question is do you have to hand your luggage over when you check in or could we wait until the day of departure and do bag drop so that we can stay really light on our hold luggage.

We have when staying the night before checked in twilight checkin and then dropped bags the next morning.

Hope that helps, although it may have changed but I doubt it, you can just as easily checkin online so it's essentially the same thing.
