Twilight check in at Manchester?!

Can anyone tell me whether Manchester offers a twilight check in with Virgin? We plan to do on line check in, but didn't know whether we could drop off our bags the day before?!
If you do on line check in how soon before your flight time do you have to check in on the day?
Only ever gone from Gatwick before!!

Unfortunately not.

If you do online check in then you can drop off your bags from when the desks open (6am I think) upto about 30 or 45 mins before departure (I think).

Sorry for being a bit vague - we didn't fly from Manchester last year so I am going from memory from 2009.

So, if we do online check in do we print off our boarding passes at home or do we go and 'check in' physically on the day? Sorry for the silly questions!!!

Unfortunately no twilight at manchester.

We checked in online and printed off boarding passes then just dropped the bags in the morning. Got in the worlds slowest line but in theory should be quick and simple.

You can do either - if you print them off at home they may let you use them or they may just rip them up and print new ones when you drop off your bags!! If you don't have access to a printer they will do them when you drop off your bags.

Not used Virgin for a few years now but tried using own printed boarding passes 3 times with them, torn up every time and reprinted.
Used print at home with US airways last week no problem. Maybe Virgin has got it sorted now, will try again in August.

We used online check in when we flew with VA in December. No queue at bag drop - but they did give us new boarding cards. They said the plane had changed and there were issuing all new cards.
