Twickers here we come!

Matt here. Gloucester did not step up to the mark it is true. But Leicester were given two tries by the ref which weren't tries - it's simple. Also, Leicester were lying all over the ball in the ruck, Chuter infringed every scrum by pulling on the shirt - you have to bind on the man.

As we in Gloucester say, same old Leicester, same old cheating!

I can't say I entirely agree with Matt.

Yes, Leicester took every advantage they could (as always!) and the refereeing decisions certainly didn't go our way, but Gloucester just didn't turn up on the day.

Leicester steamrollered us.

Oh well, always next year. :sad1:

I hate to say this guys, but the Leicester tries were pretty good really, especially Tuilagi. He ran rings round poor old Glawster!!

BTW did you get wet?

Well, we had a great day out, but needless to say, the packed trains on the way home to Gloucester would have been a tad more riotous had we won! Anyone who'd never seen a rugby match before could have been forgiven for not realising that Gloucester is one of the best teams in the Country. Leicester absolutely creamed it. They were quicker, way more confident and just looked as though they wanted to win it. Quite simply, they beat us in every aspect of the game and Gloucester just seemed to give up way too early on; they looked scared and didn't play their game. :confused3 Of course, we have lost at least 4 of our most physical players in the last month, our Captain wasn't able to play at the eleventh hour, and we were left with a very young side. Although we've been the most consistent team all season and won more games than any other team, we weren't up to the challenge of this particular game. It was such a disappointment for the Gloucester supporters - rubgy fans simply don't come more passionate and we outnumbered the Leicester supporters about 4 to 1 on the day.

As if it wasn't bad enough to be annihilated, the decisions of the officials just rubbed the salt into the wound. Rugby would be the easiest game in the world to fix and, with all the furore surrounding cricket at the moment, I just can't but be suspicious about all sport - there's so much money at stake. Leicester played about 3/4 of the game offside (it's amazing, although hardly surprising, how much more you see when you're there than when you're watching on TV). Time and time again, Leicester players brought down the pack inches from the touch judge. As for those two dodgy decisions to award tries when none existed - words fail me. Leicester was by far and away the better team on the day and it wouldn't have made a scrap of difference to the result, but the whole thing undermines the great game of rugby and leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
