we are very excited that for the first time since Golden Mickeys debuted in 03, we will get to see a new original stage show, Twice Charmed, on our upcoming 9/30 cruise

For those of you who have seen this show, how does it compare to the other stage shows,Golden Mickeys and Dreams, and particularly Herc, for which it replaced?

Thank you....

...but it was our first time so I can't compare it to Herc. I really liked Twice Charmed, but out of the 3 big production shows, I think it was my least favorite. I think the rest of the people in our group agreed (it was me, DH, my parents, and our 7 yr old DD and 5 yr old DS). The show was clever and original, and the actors playing Franco and Lady Tremaine were terrific. It is more like a regular play whereas Golden Mickeys and Disney Dreams are more like variety shows.

DH and I saw it for the first time in May and liked it a lot. We thought it was better than Golden Mickey's but still not as good as Dreams. I'd say it was equal to Hercules with some funny bits and a strong male bad guy.

ITA with Mary. We enjoyed the matinee performance so much that we went to the evening show as well. LOVE Franco! :) DD5 & DS7 both couldn't take their eyes off the stage. :) It ranks up there with Herc to me...which I do miss but can deal with the replacement. We went on the behind the scenes tour of the theater & were told that TC has more technical queues during the one hour show than Phantom does on Broadway in 3 hours. I can't wait to buy the CD next cruise!

We didn't like it at all when we saw it last year, and really missed Hercules. I think one of the biggest problems is that with this show, Dreams, and the Golden Mickey's, there is way too much focus on Cinderella. We'll probably skip it this year.

I've seen it twice. Don't know why but I enjoyed it more the second time. I will definitely see it again when we cruise in Sept. I do find the mice really annoying though.

I really liked Twiced Charmed, but probably because I love Cinderella. I thought all the shows were wonderful, but I loved "Dreams" the best! :thumbsup2

My family didn't think it compared to Mickey's or Dreams. We thoroughly enjoyed all the other shows, but weren't very impressed with Twice Charmed. I wish we could have seen Hercules.

Twice Charmed rocks! (I am typing this while wearing my Twice Charmed t-shirt that hubby and I had made for our cruises :) ). It is the best, particularly because of Franco. "It's Never Too Late" is an awesome number...check out the lighted stairs, which will remind you of the "Billy Jean" video. Lots of pyrotechnics and production numbers...strong singing...a great score! As soon as the stores opened on this cruise, I ran up to Treasure Ketch to buy the soundtrack.

We didn't like Twice charmed either...quite bored with it. Next time we will skip that show. Hercules was much better.

Just got back from the 10/14/06 - 10/21/06 W. Carribean (2 stops at Castaway Cay) Magic Cruise. I'm a guy and I love the shows.... Don't tell my football buddies. :thumbsup2

Twice Charmed was good but I would rate it 3/3 of the Magic shows. Dreams is the best followed by the Golden Mickeys. I saw Hercules on the Wonder as well and thought it was great.

Overall, nice twist on the ending of Cinderella, but just average compared to the other productions. Worth seeing.

We saw TC on our September Twice the Magic cruise... I liked it more than Hercules, not quite as much as Golden Mickeys, and definitely not as much as Disney Dreams. I still would buy the TC soundtrack, though, and will definitely see it again next November.

However, my DD (3 1/2 years old) was squirrely during TC and kept asking "When are the characters coming?", even though she's a big Cinderella fan. I think that she'll "get it" next year when she's a bit older and enjoy it more. If not, I'll just duct-tape her to her seat anyway! ;)

we didnt care for twice charmed. It is our least favorite show, but I would advise anyone to see it as least once and make up your own mind. The performers are extremely talented, we just felt it was boring.

I think this is a love/hate thing based on your relationship with the princesses - for my daughter and I it was SO SO SO much better than Herc
