Tweezers and Nail Clippers on Carry-On Bag

I have on numerous flights over the past year. Took them on a trip in January from Charlotte to Cinci.

Go to the ntsb website and they have a list of what you can and cannot bring.

To be on the safe side, make sure your nail clippers don't have the little emery file thingie. Some screeners consider that to be a knife.

But I carry the regular ones through all the time. I use them when I'm doing crochet work that needs to be cut, since I can't take scissors now.

None of this is true. The little file has never been considered a "knife", and you can bring scissors with non-pointed, short baldes (I think under 4 or 5 inches) in carryon's now. I saw a FA with her scrapping scissors tied with a ribbon to the outside of her bag in clear view for teh screeners last week--great idea!

Carried nail clippers on fine...and DD took her mini leatherman on fine also.

No longer prohibited from airplanes will be: scissors less than 4 inches long and such tools as screwdrivers, wrenches and pliers measuring less than 7 inches

I've had no problem flying with tweezers, nailclippers and a nail file in my carryon.
