There are teachers that not only do not belong to the union, they think for themselves too! Yes, we are out there!

Yes, Jen you are correct...my sister being one of them! She loved her job and pushed the boundaries everyday. Lucky for her that her sister in law was in admin. or her mouth would have gotten her fired many times! She quit her job to stay home with her baby and will have a hard time going back into the government end of teaching. She will probably look at private schools.

BUT, we do need good, smart, independent thinking people in the schools and I thank God there are still a few around. I home school my kids because of the government indoctrination that goes on in schools and for a few other reasons, but not every one can or wants to do that. God help us today......

I am not republican or democrat. I am registered Independent. I can and do think for myself. No way would I vote for someone just because of his party affiliation.

I am all for change but then again no way could I vote for nobama. Around here people are wearing T-shirts that say Obama Nation. Is that crap or what.

I just vote against every incumbent running. Just my own little protest.

I say vote them all out.

I thought "mindless"ness was one of our hallmarks here on the DIS Camping Board?!! Don't we have a couple thousand posts in the "Ignore This" thread? I just thought it was funny that we fill this place with mindless amusements and react with venom when someone calls us mindless.

(And yes, I am aware that being amused with mindless stuff and being called mindless for holding a certain position as miles apart. Please don't flame me!)
