So THANK YOU to everyone who has already signed on to join me for my Christmas PTR!!! This week school started (with students) and I have been a little distracted with all the fun!!! TRY EXHAUSTED...
Anyhoo, I have great plans for the next few weeks, I will provide a mini-TR on our trip out west and all the itinerary details we have so far... I will also reveal my WISH-ADR list, that I am so hoping I will get!! I want to nail this down because my ADR day is the 21st!!! GASP!!! Two Mondays from now!

Stay tuned, more to come this week...:thumbsup2

I do believe that first week with students is the most exhausting week of the year. I understand completely how tired you probably are by the time you get home every evening.

Looking forward to the ADR wish list and the mini-TR!

The one thing I know for sure is that I plan to see Wishes on the 20th! I can't wait to see that castle dripping in lights!

I'm definitley joining in, this PTR wreaks of fun and running amuck. I crave those things ya know.

I'm a huge Christmas nut, I start celebrating November 1st, I put up 4 trees, I have an attic full of wrapping paper but always buy more. I am not one of the nutters to go out black friday at 3:00am to shop, I am the nutter who has to wake up and work retail on black Friday, but I love that day, it's so festive and most people are in jolly moods. I make about 4 different kinds of cookies, maybe one kind actually turns out, one kind ends up burned, one kind ends up dog food, and the rest end up as paper weights.

My trip is early December, I cannot wait. Christmas time and Disney, could it get any better? It could if maybe a ton of chocolate was involved.
Any way nice to meet you and your family. (cute boys you have) I have subbed and will be back for more.

Ty

Oy I have to agree I was exhausted the first week of school with the students but it gets better!! I really can't wait to hear more about your trip!!!! I also am anxious to see some of those pictures from Palm Springs!

cant wait to read about your plans! Our dates are Dec 1-8th and I cannot wait to see Disney again at christmas!

OH dear goodness I am sorry I missed ya!! I think my fingers forgot to "click" on the multiquote button!!! SO YAY!!!! :yay:

Again!!?? Great!! :goodvibes I have only seen the beginnings of decor since we went last year the first week of November, I am just bursting with excitement now, so I can only imagine what I will be like in three months!! :rotfl:

I agree about the first week of school. I'm in my third week and I'm just now getting to where I don't feel like I want to fall directly into bed at 3:15 when school is over!!

I can't wait to see the castle at Christmas either. I've got a couple of choices for our itinerary that I'm debating over on my PTR. I've never planned an adult/surprise vacation so I'm completely confused about how to plan it!

I LOVE the Christmas season. :santa: Christmas decorations, Christmas music, Christmas STUFF. I am the freak who gets up on Black Friday to stand in line for a store opening at 3am!!! I am the industrious baker who churns out ten different kinds of Christmas cookies!! I am the nerd who can't wait for the Christmas wrapping paper display to go up at her local Container store! I'm just a Christmas dork who plays Christmas music in her car and her house during all waking hours from Thanksgiving until New Years... I can’t wait to spend a Christmas in Disney, and I can’t wait to share it with you! :goodvibes

:santa::santa:

YAY for Christmas!

I don't do the shopping or the baking, but all other Christmas stuff I love! The carols, the lights, general atomsphere.... it all!

I'm completely :yay: to be doing a Disney Christmas!

Can't wait to check out your report :goodvibes

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not … even …. a … mouse. WAIT, WAIT, WAIT. There IS a Mouse!! :p Yes, most certainly a mouse. It IS Disney World after all! HOW could it be Christmas in Disney WITHOUT the Mouse??!!:goodvibes
I LOVE the Christmas season. :santa: Christmas decorations, Christmas music, Christmas STUFF.

I am SO in! I  Christmas!

Ugh. Not me. UGH! Besides, black friday is decorating day!!!!

I am the industrious baker who churns out ten different kinds of Christmas cookies!!
again. Not me. I'll eat yours vicariously though! my family wishes I was that baker

I am the nerd who can't wait for the Christmas wrapping paper display to go up at her local Container store!
I am the nerd who orders it through the school fundraiser every year even though I don't really need new paper.

I'm just a Christmas dork who plays Christmas music in her car and her house during all waking hours from Thanksgiving until New Years... I can’t wait to spend a Christmas in Disney, and I can’t wait to share it with you! :goodvibes

you forgot and on the ipod at the gym!

:)

Looking forward to it!!!

Christmas at Disney...:goodvibes...it's lovely-we were there a couple of years ago from about 12/14-12/21 so we weren't there on the Day itself but it was lovely...:cloud9:

Everything is decorated...

If you like this kind of thing...there are the Santas from all over the world in Epcot telling stories in the individual countries...(in addition to all the other various activities all over the parks...)

Can't wait to see the PS photos...

That's right-we're back to 180 day ADRS...good luck with that...

So I thought I would kick this PTR off with my little summer side trip to sunny Palm Springs… :cool2:

Now if you read my TR you know that a few weeks after we returned from WDW I packed my family up for a flight across the country to Oregon… My family lives in central Oregon, and we go every summer for two weeks. Within that period, my DH and I typically have a “get away” trip, too.

This year we decided to return to Palm Springs, CA. Now, we have vacationed there before in the summer, just us a few years ago, and we were not necessarily expecting to go back, but the resorts we stayed at were running these amazing deals (since it was off season for them) and it was just tooo good to pass up!

So first, a few photos from our vacation in Oregon, checking out the town that my parents live in... and also the boys hanging out at my parents house. They live on 10 acres, the boys can play in the creek they have running through their property (read man-made creek bed that doubles as the irrigation pathway to water the pasture on their property!) They can be outside the whole day (temps are generally in the 80s, sunny blue sky, no humidity), and they like to take ATV rides with my father… They just play “ranch hand” for a few weeks.

Now for our getaway, my DH found this great deal at a resort in Palm Springs that included “dining credits” with the reservation. So for every $199.00 you spent a night, you received $200.00 towards meals… So basically food was “free” if you will… it was the DDP for adults! :yay: It was a little extravagant, I must confess. Hugely decadent, decidedly fabulous eats. :cloud9: They also had a package for $200.00 for alcohol… if you can believe it. :rolleyes1 Hiccup. WE did not do this one, but we thought about it!! Seriously, we were concerned we would not get our money's worth b/c we are not heavy drinkers...

SO, we went with the Dining package – called (appropriately) the "Glutton package". I have posted photos in the next post....
