Not that it matters cuz who watches much TV at Disney, anyway, except for maybe am and pm before bed. But I noticed at the Poly - someone posted pix of the rooms and there was, lo and behold, a flat screen built-in tv in the wall! Now, we are booked for the YC, and all pix I have seen have those old-fashioned dumpy old TV's - very last century (lol):rotfl:
Just for curiosity - anyone know if Disney is planning an update? - it seems that all hotels, not to mention cruise ships, are updating their electronics.
So why not WDW?:happytv:

When Wilderness Lodge redid their rooms a year ago they switched to flat screen tv's. Maybe whenever a resort is scheduled for an update they will switch out the old fashioned sets.

They also installed those new TV's at the Contemporary and Grand Floridian which was after their rooms were renovated.

They are not at SSR (at least as of September 2007), it is a standard TV. I am sure Pop (from pictures I have seen) are the same way. Maybe it is just the higher end places.

They weren't at YC in APril '06 and I don't think there's been a rehab since that visit. I'd love for it to happen though, the TV is on the dresser and is in the way.

They weren't in POR in August.
The only Resorts to offer the new flat screen tv's are the Deluxe Resorts in the Magic Kingdom Resort area, of course those being the Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge. All of which just had their rooms renovated, or are in the process of being renovated at the Grand Floridian.

POP Century may not have flat screen but they do have a 27 inch screen. :happytv: BWV on the other hand..19 inch. :guilty: With the price of TV's today that is ridiculous.
