TA our 1st time staying on property and we arrive next Sunday. My DH asked about the channels offered in the room and I honestly had no idea!

Does anyone remember what channels are offered other than Disney channel & ESPN? We have been on Disney Cruise Line twice and they have amazing on demand Disney movies available. TIA!

I edited the 1st 2 words.

Not sure of the channels, but don't expect the same On Demand that you get on DCL.

Thanks for letting me know. We are staying at the villas so we will definitely be bringing some dvd's to watch also.

The channel selection is very limited, and searching through the channels for something to watch is so primitive :scared1:

My solution is to bring an Airport Express (WiFi access point) and Apple TV (streaming box), and watch NetFlix
The Airport Express creates a more reliable wifi network and allows any device with a web browser (smart phone, tablet, laptop) to login to the hotel network (something the Apple TV cannot do).
The Apple TV can then use this local wifi network.
Setup takes only a few minutes :goodvibes

All the TVs in the villas have HDMI inputs, as do most of the hotel rooms.

My suggestion would be Chromecast which has a few stations or netflix for viewing.

Just a thought,

Jack

I know they have Lifetime because we watched Flowers in the Attic when we were there for Tink Half in January :rotfl2:

Chromecast has the same limitation as AppleTV, neither has a web browser to login (or accept the "splash" screen) to the hotel network :headache:
Chromecast and an inexpensive wifi router would make a low cost solution :thumbsup2

Jack, you gave me the idea to bring an Apple TV

Just try to offer a different alternative that may be less expensive, many ways to skin this cat.

OP here! Just got back tonight from our awesome vacation while staying at the VGC!!! Can't wait to go back someday as a guest!

We found there were enough channels to keep the kids occupied and us adults satisfied. We brought some dvd's just in case. We were so busy w/activities.
