Do the WDW Resorts provide the typical cable tv that one would find in a motel.....cable with local channels? Are ESPN, TNT, Discovery Channel, etc available? What about pay-per-view movies....are they offered

I'm sure someone will be able to provide you with the exact channel listings. From my recollection, there are a fair number of channels, much as you would get on your local cable. There was an ESPN or two, and I don't remember specifically about TNT or Discovery. There is an inordinate number of channels devoted to all things Disney - movies, DVC, theme park schedules, mini tours, etc. - but there are quite a few other choices as well. I don't recall that pay per view movies were offered.

The channel selection is not the best. You won't find Discovery or HBO. You will find lots of Disney channels in English and Spanish. Pay per view isn't offered. ESPN, CNN, Lifetime, BET, CNBC, Soap Net.

No TNT or TBS.

You'll get all the local channels, Disney owned stations (Family Channel, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN CLASSIC, ESPNNEWS) CNN, Headline news.

You will NOT get TBS, TNT, History, A&E.

Here is a link to the channels offered at Disney.
