Tuxedo Strawberries???

On the food thread i saw a picture of tuxedo strawberries with a solid chocolate mickey statue, someone had delivered to their room, i lost the pic now, but where can you get these from, are the only for room service, or get you get them from one of the bakeries???

I ordered our chocolate Mickey with tuxedo strawberries from the GF Bakery. We were staying @ the GF and they were for our arrival night. They weren't in the room upon checkin but that was quickly resolved and they were in our room when we returned from our dinner @ 1900 Park Fare. It was LOVELY and the strawberries were BIG & JUICY-YUMMY!!! We didn't eat the chocolate Mickey. It kind of sticks to the bottom of the plate to keep it in place. They use something to hold it there. We just ate the strawberries.

Hubby did eat the Mickey's ears-oh no!!!!!!!!!! LOL It was a surprise for my hubby for our anniversary and he really thought it was VERY cool He isn't usually easily impressed but with the presentation and the freshness of the strawberries, he really enjoyed it As you can see in the pic, 1 of the strawberries has been eaten off of, LOL That would be my husband. He didn't give me time to snap a pic BEFORE he dug into it LOL It was worth it to see him enjoy it and because I had only seen it on the boards before, it was very "MAGICAL" to see it in person.

Those are usually in-room items that can be ordered from room service at all of Disney's Deluxe Resorts. We had chocolate covered strawberries delivered when we were staying at the Beach Club Villas last Fall and they were delicious!

If your resort doesn't offer room service they are not available. You cannot get this kind of presentation unless you're staying at a deluxe resort and to the best of my knowledge you cannot order them and pick them up and take them elsewhere. And they won't deliver to any rooms outside of their specific resort.

If you really want chocolate covered strawberries you can try Goofy's Candy Co at Downtown Disney or the Boardwalk Bakery ... I'm pretty sure they sell them at those locations. They might sell them at the Patisserie in France, too.

Cost?

We paid $25 for this to be delivered to our room at the Beach Club Villas.

Another post on a different thread put the cost at $50. That service had I believe 6 tuxedoed berries plus the Mickey. There are other figures available as well. I saw one that had Tink, another with Mickey and Minnie, etc etc. I'm guessing the single figures are $25 and the larger ??????? I do know the poster said the cost was $50 with $25 for berries and $25 for figure. A lovely great treat imho.
