Which longhouse is better overall?? We leave at the end of this month and currently have requested the Tuvalu for our theme park view but I've been doing some reading and seeing that the Hawaii building is great too. Any opinions or experiences you'd like to share on this would be appreciated!!

TIA!

The view from Hawaii LH is amazing BUT you have to be staying Club Level, only Club Level guests can even get into the building. IF you want to stay in the Hawaii LH you will need to call and upgrade to CL and pay the difference.. Its totally worth it tho!!

That's an interesting point I never knew!! I'm not sure if Hawaii would be best for us. We are a grand gathering with 4 rooms at the Poly. Only 1 room is paid to be theme park view. I imagine with all of the little kids we have that many will be coming and going in the rooms so if the Hawaii building is off limits to everyone that doesn't have CL, that may be tough for our party. Thanks for the info!

Hey there PHLtoMCO!

I too have been fortunate enough to be able to stay at the C.L. at Poly more than once and I have to respectfully disagree with my friend BlueJasmine above me.

I made a whole YouTube video debating whether C.L. was worth it or not and overall, personally, I don't think it is worth the amount of money you'd pay for it. Here, let me put it to you this way ... if your vacation is all planned out and you are doing everything you want to do and still have money left over to pay for the upgrade to concierge then go for it ... but if you are sacrificing other things in order to get there then I would say no. :sad2:

Listen, Club Level IS a nice perk and you definitely feel like your poop don't stink when you are the only ones who can access your building, and you get your own private lounge, and free sodas and snacks. I get that and when we stayed there I felt like that too! :woohoo:

However, think about it. You're getting the same room as everyone else, you can get, basically ... almost, the same view from other LongHouses, and even if you made a meal out of the little snacks ... which some people do ... I don't think it will even out to what you'd be paying for a meal if you weren't staying at C.L. and had to go out. :teacher:

If you are looking for a really nice view at Poly you can either go with a M.K. view from the Tahiti building which is right next to Hawaii but not a C.L. building OR make a request ... and the cast member will tell you the standard "A request is just a request ... we will do our best to honor it but it is not a guarantee" line ... anyway, make a request for Samoa, Level 3 (so you have a balcony), facing the Volcano pool! I personally think the view is just as good as a Castle view ... good scenery, you can people watch if you like, and it's 100s less than a C.L. room! :woohoo:

Bottom line ... The only way I'd endorse a C.L. room is if you have the money WITHOUT having to sacrifice anything on your list!

JUST MY OPINION!

I will also disagree with Jasmine, and completely agree with everything you said. I got upgraded to CL for free, and couldn't believe that 'this' is all that was included for people paying that much per night......:confused3 I will just keep with my theme park views.

Thanks Frank! I really appreciate all of the helpful info! My sister and I
surprised our Mom with a theme park view at the Poly for her 60th and we leave on the 30th. Poly is her favorite an the Theme Park View was just something we did to make it extra nice. My sister and I will most likely be staying in a garden view room... I would like Fiji if possible. Anyway, so you don't think Tuvalu is great for a nice view of the castle? We requested that with 3rd level so she and my dad can have the balcony, hopefully our wish will be granted!

Thank you!!

Hey again PHLtoMCO!

I can't in all good conscious comment on Tuvalu because we have never stayed in that building and, quite honestly, very rarely even get to that side of the resort ... except to pay respects to the Tiki God who sits on the path to the Luau! ;)

We've been in Tahiti once, Hawaii three times, Rapa Nui once which we weren't thrilled with becasue it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere ... nowhere ... nowhere (Echos) :rotfl: and we also had a Garden View room with a perfect view of the Monorail as it swept past our room in Aotearoa but that was only for a few days after we transferred out of Contemporary. But once we found that Volcano view from Samoa ... THAT is our new home now!!! Great view and very centered in the resort relative to anything you'd want to do or see!

I hope you and yours have a truly Magical Stay!!! :wizard:
