Tutto vs. Mama Melrose?

Does anyone feel strongly one way or the other? For our date night Nov. 12, DH and I want a nice but not necessarily signature restaurant, and we love Italian. Right now I have ADRs at Tutto but MM menu looks great...which is the better food??

Personally, I thought Mama Melrose was just barely decent--really no better than an Olive Garden at best. But I also think it depends if you are on the dining plan--Tutto is quite expensive if you're not, and I don't think it's really worth the full price--though I think that applies to most Disney restaurants. Mama Melrose wasn't that expensive, and I want to say that they had calzones or pizzas that looked better, but can't remember now. Good luck!

I have never eaten at Tutto, but I agree that Mama Melrose was just barely decent. We were beyond disappointed.

We have eaten at both..Hands down we MUCH prefer Tutto...Mama Melrose was OK....Tutto was wonderful.

See, and my parents have been to Mama Melrose's 2x in the last 2 years and Tutto this past May. They requested MM for our trip tomorrow (which worked fine for me, because we were looking at the Fantasmic package anyway and didn't want to burn 2 credits on Brown Derby and had been underwhelmed by H&V). They were not impressed by Tutto (though I'll admit, some of that might've been clouded by their grief over the loss of Alfredo's, LOL).

Tutto was amazing for us, we loved it so much we are going back next month.

Mama Melrose was like Olive Garden, which we like but we can eat that all the time.

While I usually book MM for the Fantasmic Package - Tutto is definitely a better restaurant. And if you're doing the meal plan the expense doesn't really factor in so go with Tutto. And yes my name ends in a vowel.

We're not on the dining plan, but Tutto isn't unreasonable for an OOP date night for us. I'll keep the ADR there, then!

We haven't eaten at Tutto, but ate at MM for the first time this year. Unlike other posters, we really enjoyed our meal. Just goes to show that when it comes to opinions about restaurants you will get a variety of opinions.
