I am still dreaming about this one meal, over a week later. I couldn't stop talking about it for hours after we ate and almost changed the rest of our ADRs to this one restaurant for the remaining 5 days of our trip. Seriously.
First off you get a bread basket with a few different slices of bread and a some breadsticks, and that comes with a tiny dish of about 3 big olives and 4 marinated mushrooms. Also a little scoop of some herbed butter/cheese spread. It was delicious.
Dh and I ordered the antipasto plate for two, and it could have fed about 6. It had procuitto, salami and mortadella, two huge fresh mozz balls, olives and mushrooms, a marinated pinto type bean salad with ham, pepperocinis, roasted red peppers and a few other things I can't remember.
Our boys each ordered the fried mozzarella and again, it was amazing. It was little fresh mozz balls, not just mozz sticks that other places have. They got 5 good sized pieces nestled on top of their amazing red sauce. Not just pizza sauce from a jar, this was the real deal.
I ordered the salmon with an olive relish on top. It was perfect.
Dh ordered some pork chop that he raved about but I couldn't be bothered with really, as the best part of the meal was my boys spaghetti.
O.M.G. It was like nothing I have ever tasted before. The noodles were cooked and salted perfectly. And the sauce was the most wonderfully mild crushed tomato consistency with just a hint of garlic. Plus, they sauced the noodles before plating it and then put a small amount on the top under the meatballs. I was so full but ate half of one of their HUGE bowls. It was by far the best kids meal for 8 days worth of dining. Not even in the same league as the rest of their meals, quite honestly. And all for something as simple as spaghetti and meatballs. Just goes to show that sometimes simple is better, as long as it's done right, as this was.
Our service was amazing too. One waiter and two girls who filled water, cleared plates etc......
I am at home now, but I think of this meal daily. Kind of sad really, lol, but the truth. I would tell anyone to go there, RUN there if possible, and have a wonderful meal. Yum.
ps - I'm sure I spelled most of the things wrong on the appetizer plate, so I apologize!!
