OK, I just gave up an ADR at Biergarten to get a dinner ADR at Tutto Italia on 12/08/07. First tell me I'm not going to be sorry, then please give me an idea of what I should order (appetizer, entree, and dessert). I'm not really familiar with real Italian food, but am not a picky eater at all and will try just about anything once.

Oh, yes I'm also on the DDP. For just one TS credit this place seems like a great deal! Just tell me what's good and in plain English please explain exactly what I'd be ordering. Thanks!

Uh, I hate to say this but I don't think that Tutto Italia takes the dining plan. :(

It is on the dining plan this year. We dined there twice in Oct. on the DDP and just last night on a combination of DDP/OOP for the CP.

We've only dined at Biergarten once but I think you've chosen very wisely!

In plain English, the dishes are not typical American-Italian. Just go, ask questions and enjoy.

The CM made a point of saying that for 2007 it was only one dining credit and so a very good deal on the DDP. I sure hope it doesn't change in the next week. I'll be asking when I check in and finding somewhere else to eat if it's not.

Any recommendations for a specific dish? I like pasta, but am not that familiar with the different kinds. In fact, I don't have a clue what half the words on the menu are  . I also love fish and steak though. The only thing I don't do is coffee!

The menu is probably translated in english also, but here's the italian for:
fish-pesce
steak-bistecca
beef-manzo

That is a fabulous deal for 1 credit! In fact, that's probably the only way I would eat there.
This restaurant does seem like a "Food-Network-upped" (like fancied up, modernized) version of an Italian restaurant. That being said, the bucattini pasta and penne caprese look pretty good for entrees. Please note I have not eaten here, so I can't vouch if it really IS good there or not. Maybe somebody else can help you there.
Have fun! :)

We ate at Tutto Italia just a few days ago. We used the DDP so there was no problem with that. I think you made a great choice with switching out Biergarten with Tutto Italia. We really enjoyed our meal there and we both agreed that we wouldn't be surprised, when you consider the prices, that in upcoming years Tutto Italia was changed to a 2TS credit restaurant. (This is pure speculation on our part)

For appetizers we had mussels in a spicy broth and the prosciutto di parma. We both got pasta as a main course. I had trofie pasta and DM had penne caprese. These were both good but they were just a big plate of pasta. I think it would have been better to get some fish or beef. For dessert we had tiramisu and copetta sotto bosco. The tiramisu was real Italian made with espresso so you had better like coffee flavor if you get this. I had the copetta sotto bosco and this was my favorite dessert. It was an ice cream sundae made with sliced fresh berries and what tasted like rum raisin ice cream without the raisins.
