Tutto Italia not on Dining Plan in 2008

Today was my day to make all of my dining reservations for our trip the first week in May. I spoke to a very nice and helpful CM and I got everything I wanted (including an 8:05am CRT reservation for 6 people...yay!), but I was very disappointed when she told me Tutto Italia will not be on the Dining Plan in 2008. This was the first I had heard of this....has anyone else heard the same thing?

I wouldn't expect to know one way or the other for another week and a half. That's when the final list for this year became available (to us and to Disney reservations agents) last year.

In addition, Tutto Italia is supposed to close early next year for rehab into a new restaurant. I haven't seen any firm dates but the it is supposed to be closed for months. It could very well still be closed in May.

Still, it would have been nice for the CM to tell you to check back in a few weeks, and suggest that you keep the reservation just in case it does get added.

Well, it was funny...when she said it wasn't on the dining plan, I asked her if it had anything to do with the closing. She had no idea that the restaurant was even closing at all next year. I have heard that it will be closing in the summer, but who knows. Hopefully, it will get added to the dining plan and then I will add it to my reservations.

I'd taking anything you get from a Disney dining CM with a grain of salt - I got just the opposite info when I made my Tutto Italia reservation! LOL The CM told me that it was a 1TS restaurant on the plan.

As far as the closing goes, I think Allears reported that it won't close until towards the end of the year.

I made ressies last week and the CM that I spoke with told me that they were currently in negotiations and that it should be on the plan. Got the ressie just in case. She was filled with dining knowledge and had great recommendations. I need my pasta while on vacation.

I called today and the CM confirmed it was still OP. (At least it was today at 3:15??)

I guess, if it's not on the DDP, it's not on DDE either. Does anybody know?

After reading replies saying that not every restaurant has been confirmed yet for DDP for 2008, I called back yesterday to add Tutto Italia so that I have the reservation, should it be added. The CM said that 95% of the restaurants have been confirmed....they are just waiting on a few more, one of which is Tutto Italia. She said to assume it will be added, but to keep checking back to make sure.
