Tutti Italiano

We ate there last week and loved it. Yes it was very pricey but we were very happy with our meal. I had the veal and it was delicious. DH had the lasagna and he really enjoyed it. He is very particualr about his Italian food and he liked this place.

My father in-law had the veal too last week and he said it was the best dish he had the entire vacation. :confused3

We ate there last week as well. DS had the Tagliata, best steak all week! DIL had the Pumpkin Ravioli, and while it was not large, the flavor was out of this world, and fairly rich. My spinach cannaloni was good, but will order the ravioli next time. DH also had some large meat dish that was excellant. Sorry it wasn't good for you!

I think you're right. The key is in what you order. I've never been to Tutto Italia but I couldn't imagine order plain old pasta. Of course, you're going to find it overpriced. It's like going to a fine steakhouse and ordering the $20 cheeseburger. Why not just eat somewhere else in the first place instead of setting yourself up for disappointment?

I actually am quite excited about this restaurant. It seems quite authentic and the photos I have seen look amazing.

I have to agree. We are from NYC and have been fortunate to experience amazing Italian food here in NYC and Italy and were not dissappointed with tutto.. Was it the best Italian ever? No of course not - but considering it is a theme park restaurant I thought it to be authentic and fairly tasty. Service was decent, though I must agree it was pricey.

We stopped in in October for lunch. Had a glass of wine and the antipast.
It was not AS good as Italy, but closer to it than Italian chains.

My husband is more eager to return than I am.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. We had lunch here and it was terrific. I found the food to be very classic and "simple" . We had the prosciutto with melon and tomato monzarella salad for apps. Both were clean and fresh, very good. DH had the pan roasted sole and I had the penne fresca. Both were fantastic. We have 2 ADR's planned in January and am looking very much forward to it.

I guess I find it silly when people say that people should choose better when ordering and not order authentic Italian dishes at Tutto Italia as we should know better. Ummm...using this logic, you are basically saying then that the restaurant is not good at cooking that food! Do people go to McDonald's and order pizza? Nope! It's not good - they order the specialty items of the house, and so in the case of McDonald's it would be burgers and fries, and in the case of Tutto Italia, it should be pasta and meat. These are staple items in our Italian diets.

Tutto Italiano is not that good, period. It is grossly overpriced based on a staged atmosphere - it looks authentic, so they are relying on this as a way to sell subpar food. I'm guessing most people who are eating there are on the DP as I can't imagine paying those kind of prices for that quality of food. We have had truly exceptional authentic Italian food in New York and Chicago for less money and it was authentic gourmet food!

I come from an authentic Italian restaurant family, so I had very low expectations of Tutto Italiano and these were confirmed. For some guests, this food quality is fine, but for some of us, it is not. They could improve their food quality and authentic dishes if they wanted to, but I'm thinking they don't have any reason to as they are raking in cash serving subpar food - less costs for them, with a higher profit return.:thumbsup2 Let's be honest, most people eating at a theme park, even though it's WDW World Showcase, aren't expecting a gourmet meal, so why give it to them?

Happy eating to all, Tiger

Just ate there on Wednesday and it was my least favorite meal of the trip! I was extremely dissppointed!

Service was horrible (our meals arrived before our drinks...and it wasn't because the drinks took long...our meals came out literally one minute after we ordered..yuck!), food (I ordered pasta) definitely came out of a cardboard box and sauce out of a jar, and our waitress couldn't have ignored us more. We had finished our meal in about 30 minutes because they rushed us so much. I hated it and will probably never return.

It didn't help that they changed the menu and both of the dishes I wanted were gone, and they didn't give us any veggies/olives at the beginning of the meal as I had read they did.

Two friends and I had lunch there last year and we enjoyed it. We each ordered something different and shared. I thought all three dishes were good. Our server was very good, attentive, charming, and handsome, LOL.

We were on the DDP. I never would pay those inflated prices OOP. So, I do feel it was overpriced. I think all meals at WDW are overpriced, but Tutto's prices were bordering on ridiculous. Still, since the DDP covered our meals it wasn't an issue.

Now that appetizer and tip aren't included I don't know that I'd return.

actually, so do i come from a successful "authentic italian restaurant family":) & we very much enjoyed TI. food was certainly authentic & tasty. rather than dispute opinions (which everyone is entitled to;) ), i would assume the food quality & service is variable ~ which frequently happens.
(fyi, many love LC ~ we gave it 4 tries, every single one was sub-par).

enjoy!

I think you must have had a lousy server bc the week before we got veggies and assorted bread and olive oil.

DH works in Northern NJ and NYC a lot and goes to many fine Italian places so I was nervous but even last night he was telling his parents how good Tutto Italia was.

What she said!! From another authentic Italian!:thumbsup2

I have to strongly disagree with the OP. DW, DS-14 and myself had a wonderful dinner at Tutto Italiano on Thursday evening of this past week. DW and I had the lasagna, which was excellent, and DS had the spaghetti and cleaned his plate. Our desserts were absolutely marvelous, and our soft drinks were refilled several times before the previous drink was gone and without asking. The service was outstanding as well. Our server Alessandro and his team was the best we had during our visit. Very friendly and informative. As far as comments about being "over priced", welcome to Disney. My family and I would highly recommend Tutto Italia for an outstanding meal.

We did the CP package at Tutto on 12/18. When I walked in, we were very impressed with the look, the ambiance and even how the workers were dressed. DH got spaghetti and veal meatballs, DS got the steak and I had the lasagna. The 2 guys loved their meals. I did not. I am partially to blame, I didn't look at the menu well enough and I did not realize the lasagna had meat "in" it. I know lots of people eat it this way but I hate meat mixed into my lasagna ( my son claims I am not really Italian based on this lol). I am a big lasagna fan, love it in fact but I don't believe even without the meat I would have raved about it at all. Service was excellent though!

Doesn't lasagna traditionally have meat in it? I've never had it without meat unless it is called "Vegetarian Lasagna" or "Seafood Lasagna" or some other variation of it.

Yea, she was not great. But when I glanced around us I didn't see them anywhere on anyone else's table. It was late at night (ressie at 8:30 pm) so I thought maybe they had run out or something. I just wanted to get out of there (and given the speed we got our meals I guess they wanted us out soon too).

Hi,

I originally posted my comments about Tutti Italiano and I am glad that many of you have had a postive and tasty experience there.

We have eaten at most of the World Showcase restaurants and this one still takes the cake as being the worst. Compared to Canada, France it just pales in comparison....but different strokes for different folks.

Happy Holidays to all of you gourmets!!!
