Tuskers vs. Hollywood and Vine Character Breakfast

We are going to DW for our first trip in November. We have two boys, a 2 year old and a 4 year old, and we wanted to do one character meal while we are there. I made reservations at Tuskers, but there is also availability for the same time at H&V. They love both Mickey and his crew as well as Jake and Handy Manny, so would be excited either way. Can anyone recommend one over the other? TIA!

If you're only doing one, I'd suggest Tusker House. You're at Disney and the characters are the classics, even if they are wearing Safari gear.

Tusker House, and it ain't even close. For one, you get the big 5 (Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Donald and Goofy). Can't get more Disney than that. Secondly, the atmosphere/imagineering is just better. You feel like you are in a street market. The food is better too. My whole family loved the Jambo juice.

H&V, I felt like, was just nasty. Sticky booths, sticky floors, a buffet that looked as kept as a Golden Corral.

I feel like Tuskers is just better.

H&V is fun, very noisy, but fine with little children! But they removed the dance with the characters so we're not going to go again. My son loved that dance It's good food, but nothing "special" so we're trying Tusker House this time. At least we'll try new food

Tusker House is Mickey, Goofy, Daisy and Donald. No Minnie.

My kids like both, but I much prefer Tusker House.

While I haven't had H&V, Tusker House was great! IMO, it's one of the best breakfasts, with a huge (and delicious) variety in the buffet. The characters were also fantastic and my kids had so much fun shaking it with Donald in the conga line.

Tusker house hands down. H&V has Disney Jr breakfast and fab five at dinner. I agree with the other posters - H&V is kinda gross.

Definitely Tusker House! It's one of our favs and has become a must do for breakfast every trip. The selection is great, the food is hot and plentiful, the buffet is clean, the characters are awesome.

H&V just doesn't compare.

While I agree that Tusker food is much, much better - from a character perspective H&V is a better choice. Handy Manny is only available at H&V, so if your kids want a photo with him, this is the only way to get it. Mickey, Goofy, and Daisy do have cute safari themed costumes that are exclusive to Tusker, Donald wears the same look in the park.

Easy choice for me.

Tusker House = Nice theme, Average buffet food (compliment) and very good character interaction.

H&V= substandard buffet food (typical for buffets) and average character interaction.

The winner is Tusker House in a landslide and is one of the few buffets I'm willing to eat at when in WDW.

I know everyone said Tusker but if your child really wants to meet handy manny, h&v is the only place to meet him. If not, you can meet all the other Disney Junior characters by the Disney Junior show
