Has anyone eaten at Tusker House at AK? Is it any good?

Are you asking about breakfast or lunch?

I've had breakfast at Tusker House and my family all enjoyed it. We had an early sitting (7.45 am). The character interaction was good and the safari costumes were wonderful. The food was pretty good and plentiful. I suspect that because it was early, we didn't notice the rest of the diners. And when we finished, we were pretty much first in line for EE and fastpasses for Kali.

Just ate breakfast there yesterday. Food was pretty good (especially for a Disney buffet) and the characters were great.

I haven't eaten another meal here though, but I hear lunch and dinner are also very good (my brother's family went there last year for lunch).

We ate there on 18th Sept (breakfast) and it was great. Food was really good and the characters came around and gave you plenty of time for photos/autographs. The Banana Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce was fantastic!!

Dinner is fabulous! We did this last trip since it was one of those places we had never done. Great selection of very different foods, good service, and a different atmosphere than other buffets. Already planned for our next trip!

My husband took me there for Mother's Day lunch. I thought there was a lot of variety and everything I tried was delicious.

We've been for both breakfast and lunch. We loved both. The food is delicious. There is a ton of variety as well. I'm a picky eater and I can't wait to go back when we visit in May!!

Went in 08 for Dinner, and the food was amazing. There is a huge selection of both American, and African foods. The desserts are really good too. Our waiter was also really great, he taught me a few words, in Swahili ( I think that's the language and how you spell it???) Then he took me over to the dessert buffet, and showed me his favorite desserts. He really made the experience even more special.

Sorry to intrude on your post, but I am wondering if they offer any kid friendly items on the lunch buffet? LIke hot dogs, pizza, cheesburgers,etc.

I remember they had a kid section of the buffet.

Kids Selections: PB&J sandwich, Corn dog nuggets, Mac & Cheese, Corn medley, Chicken Drumsticks, Green beans, and Mashed potatoes.

I've never been, but we have ADR's for January. My brother in law LOVES Tusker House. Thinks it's one of the best places at WDW to eat.

TH Lunch buffet is the best on property.

We agree (yes, we like it better than the oft-compared-to Boma). And breakfast is our second favorite.
