Tusker House or Cape May Breakfast?

My DD loooooooves Minnie Mouse. The problem is we ate at CM last year and are not willing to eat at CM again just to see her (the other characters aren't as important).

We are staying at the Poly. I already booked Tusker House breakfast even though I know she is not there, only Daisy Duck, who is great, but still not Minnie. Reason being, I figured it would be easier for us to get AK in the am by Disney buses from the Poly.

Would rather do the Cape May breakfast so she could see her Minnie. However, I don't know how we would get there. Last time we ate at the Cape May for dinner, we took a cab from the Poly because we heard how time consuming it can be to get from one resort to another (that's not connected by monorail.) My DH refuses to do the cab again, and I tend to agree.

So, is Cape May that much better than Tusker House that I should a) convince the DH on the cab ride again b) there is a way to get the Beach Club from the Poly that I am not aware of that will not take forever?

Again, I'll keep Tusker House if it seems to be just as good, we can always meet Minnie in the parks.

Thanks, I appreciate any and all opinions!

Tusker House was my families favorite breakfast although we never ate at Cape May.

If you're at the Poly I believe Ohana has Minnie for breakfast.

Not any longer. :sad1: She hasn't been there in awhile. It's Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto.

From what I've read a lot of people tend to take a bus to DHS then the boat over to the Beach Club for breakfast at Cape May. I'm trying to convince my husband that we should try Cape May for breakfast next year since dinner was so tasty when we tried it recently. :)

We're planning on Tusker House breakfast - the menu sounds great! And if you're at AK your daughter can catch Minnie in the greating trails. When we were there last fall the lines for the characters were almost non-existent.

Tusker House is my favorite character meal. Your daughter can meet Minnie at various locations throughout the parks. I wouldn't spend extra money on a taxi for Cape May Cafe.

If you're willing to allow a little extra time, the commute from the Polynesian to the Beach Club isn't too terrible using Disney transportation. My family has done it several times for dinners at Cape May. Just take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and transfer to a bus. It's not complicated, just a bit timely. So if you feel compelled to dine with Minnie for your daughter's sake, this isn't a terrible option.

Tusker House breakfast is a must for our family...the food great, good character interaction and no lines for food. After breakfast, you can walk to camp Mickey and see Minnie.

My DD loves Minnie too. We'll be trying to catch a late breakfast at Cape May. Our plan is to go to EMH hours at Epcot for a couple of hours and make an ADR for 10:30. From there we'll either hop to DHS or go back to our resort.

Seeing Tusker House on Samantha Brown's special I will go there next trip. The food looks amazing and the characters r tooo cute.:woohoo:

If you would like to get to the Cape May Cafe Breakfast (which I highly recommend), then the easiest way to get to BC is to get a bus to DHS from your resort and then either walk over to the BC (which is about a 20-30 min walk, depending on how fast the rest of your party walks) or take a very nice boat ride back to BC/YC. Give yourself some time for transportation because depending on if there is a boat there so you can board, you may wait a little bit for one to come along.

Now as far as Cape May or Tusker House, like I said before I highly recommend Cape May, but we also really enjoy Tusker House as well. Cape May has Minnie, Goofy, and Donald all decked out in their beach wear and the food there is hot and fresh, plus the service is awesome. We always go to Cape May and it is most requested by both of my DDs to make ADRs there before our trips. However, this September, we are not going to be going to Cape May but we are going to TH before the park opens. We wanted to do a few new character meals, so we thought we would leave that one out....just for this trip that is :goodvibes Good luck with whatever you choose, but if your DD really wants to see Minnie, then I would definately say go with Cape May Cafe.

We really enjoyed TH bkfst! And, it sounds like it would be a lot easier for you to get to!:rotfl:

This is the same thing I thought of, we usually stay at Yacht Club and we have had to rewire the brain at time to think of the least stressful, or time consuming ways to get around to character breakfast.
