tusker house now that opening is 9am?

Thanks for the updates! I am trying to decide whether to keep my 8 am reservation when we go in August.

Anyone know how long it usually takes to eat and see the characters? I've been once before but wasn't watching the clock.

I've eaten there twice. I would allow at least an hour if you want to see all of the characters. We were there last week and everyone came within maybe 40 minutes except for Goofy. Luckily we were not trying to rush and waited maybe another 20 minutes for him to come to our room. Some people seemed impatient even though it was not pre park opening.

We had a nice relaxed time trying out a ton of different foods and getting some great photos with Mickey and friends. Personally I would hate to rush through the meal.

Any updates to this? Made a 8AM ADR for a future trip but doesn't seem like it is worth it. Certainly would be nice to scoot through the back way to Pandora!

We had an 8:00 ADR for Tusker House yesterday. We weighed our options, and since we have 3 FP for FoP later in the trip, we decided on the following, which worked well for us:

• 8:40 - Done at TH (we skipped 2 characters, which we tend to do sometimes)
• 8:45 - Joined back of "Pandora pack" that was already moving toward the Pandora entrance
• We stuck to the left and veered off to NRJ
• 9:10 - already done 1st NRJ ride (12 min from beginning of the line to the end ride)
• Once done with the first ride, the posted wait for NRJ was 30min; I didn't buy that it would be that long, so we got in line to ride NRJ a 2nd time; actual wait 18min
• Then we headed over to Everest -- rode twice
• Then to Dinosaur
• Swung back to check out the store in Pandora
• Banshee magic shot photo (no wait)
• Then Tiffins
• Then back to hotel for a break

All worked well for us -- above was all without FP (we saved those for MK evening).

Soooooo... if you're ok cutting a TH ADR short, you could either do the above or try for FoP from the back of the "Pandora pack" around 8:45. There was NO WAY yesterday to bypass the pack post-TH.

We had an 8:10am PPO breakfast at Tusker House at Tuesday, August 22. We saw all the characters and were on our way around 8:45am. By that point, the rope drop crowd was already well inside the park and the line for FoP already stretched back almost to Tiffins. You could not access Pandora from the entrance near FotLK. So, unless things have changed this breakfast does not get you a leg-up on FoP and probably puts you at a disadvantage for that ride. Everything else still had very short waits in the morning. A PPO breakfast may still make for a nice entry experience if FoP is not your goal as you'll avoid waiting with the massive crowd queuing for that particular ride. We arrived around 7:30 to check-in for breakfast and the lines at the tapstiles for 9am opening were already building.

Has anyone done Tusker house since the opening time has changed to 9am?

1) ONLY on specific days.
2) Most days, they still open at 8:05am.
