Tusker House Lunch

How is the tusker house lunch. I wrote another post about breakfast but it is lunch I am going to....all this making plans for Christmas week is confusing me. I have an 11 ADR and going to check in the hotel around 10:30-11:00 do you think I will make this resurvation. TIA

We had lunch at Tusker House in September and LOVED it! I recently wrote a review here:

I'm confused about your ADR time. I think Tusker House usually starts serving lunch at 11:30. If your ADR is at 11:00, I'm guessing you'll be there during the breakfast/lunch transition? If you're not getting to your resort until 10:30, I don't think you'll make it there by 11:00. You'd have to check in (which could take a while especially if there is a line), go to AK, and then walk back to the Africa section of the park.

You probably won't make it if you need to get from WL to AK and then to the back of the park! Will you have your own car? I would try to make it later.

We ate there last week and really enjoyed it, but much of the food is "interesting". There was a hot carving station with beef and pork, there was also salmon. We really enjoyed it, and we had 1 non-adventurous eater with us, and she was fine.

we will have a car, I am thinking that I will leave a little early from US and get there by maybe 9, I think I should be ok ore I hope. I ogt the 11:30 so I could be hungry for my supper. I did all the TS once before and said never agin but I am doing it, just this time I wont feel like I have to eat the whole meal, I'll stop when I am full.
