Tusker House Lunch and Reserved seats at Finding Nemo

Wow, I was already booked for a 1:25pm seating at Tusker House in Dec so this perk is great! Can't wait to use it.

Do you guys really see this as a perk? When I read about it I was totally perplexed. I mean Finding Nemo is not like Fantasmic; the show plays multiple times every day. We have never had trouble getting in to see it. I guess my initial reaction is that they are just trying to keep people in the park longer. The morning crowds often clear out by mid-afternoon, so this just seems like a ploy to get you to stick around and spend more money. I know, I sound so jaded.:confused3

AK is by far our least favorite park, I don't think we've visited it in the last 8 times we've been at the world. That said, I have never seen Nemo and w/ us going January 1st I'm expecting big crowds everywhere. We've got to eat and I want to see this show so for us it works. I'm sure when we go back in April we wouldn't do this even if its offered, although I do hear they have good food.

As a single mom travelling with a DD8 who LOVES the Finding Nemo show so much we have to see it every time we visit AK, the answer is a resounding YES! :thumbsup2

So is this only a temporary perk for the holiday season or will it continue on???

We will be there mid-March and I'd love to take advantage of this.

I had an March5th/5pm ADR at Tusker and switched it to 1pm to take advantage of this. The reservation agent said this would be an ongoing thing, so you should be able to do it mid-march.

Thank you for posting this. We will definitely use this. We ate TH breakfast and it was fun - why not try lunch?

This is great! I'm going to call right now and make an ADR for our AK day. We had just planned to do CS but this is a relatively cheap TS. DH had wanted to eat there but we decided against it to save money. This is a great perk though! I'm just trying to decide if I should surprise him with it or not. (I'm not very good at keeping surprises.)

How soon do you usually line up for the Nemo show? With the Tusker House perk it says to still line up half an hour early. Is the show really that hard to get into? Or do you think this is being done to promote Tusker House lunch? Curious to see everyone's thoughts!

It really depends on what time of year you go. When we went in August 2007, we went in a half an hour early but truthfully, we could have showed up at the last minute and got a seat. I don't think lining up half an hour before will really be that big of a deal. I mean, you wouldn't want to get in line for another attraction that close to show time anyway, right?

I thought it was only $20 for lunch? :confused3

It is.

I think this is totally a perk. Instead of sitting in a theatre waiting for a show to start for an hour, we can be off doing other things. It's like a fastpass for an extremely popular show. Now, if we didn't want to eat at Tusker House, I wouldn't go there just for the FP.

FYI, I just made an ADR for 1 pm on January 13. They had full availablity for the entire time frame.

Thank you for the info! That's good to hear :thumbsup2 .

We do view this as a perk. Anytime we can be assured of seeing something at WDW that we already know that we want to see for the first time, then it's a perk. I doubt that we ever go back to see the show again, but my MIL wants to see the shows, so this is on our "Must Do List".
