How is Tusker House for dinner? I've seen great reviews on breakfast, but I was wondering if they are good all day long. :) Thanks!

We had dinner there 2 years ago and it was great! It is one of the places everyone wanted again for this trip.:)

We did dinner in April. We normally do breakfast but wanted to try something different. When we booked, it was still non-character, but then that switched a few weeks before our trip. We didn't really want another character meal, but we really wanted to do dinner so kept it. I'm glad we did. We really enjoyed the food. The kids all found something they liked. And the characters were an added bonus. We normally stay away from buffets other than for breakfast, but we really enjoyed Tusker House.

We've heard both good and bad things but that seems to be true for most places.

Will report on our experiences after we actually eat there soon. But not soon enough.

We really enjoyed dinner in March with the characters. The food was good and unusual for Disney. I am about to book it again for lunch, basically same menu, for our next trip.

NOTE1: The buffet is reasonably priced for a Disney park eatery. The selection could be more varied, there are menu items for most tastes. Although very Americanized, the dishes do have an African flair. The dinner almost always is not crowded and has room for several walk-ups. There are at least four-to-five really good vegetarian options on the buffet. All characters are at dinner and almost always good for walk-ups without an ADR. Be prepared for a VERY loud environment.
.
NOTE2: There have been some menu alterations, in which I am personally disappointed. The seasoned beef carving station now has ordinary beef, and not spicy or seasoned. Chicken Curry has little curry and is VERY mild; cucumber & tomato salad is something one can find on any home table. On the plus side; the bread pudding is still to-die-for and the chocolate cookies are still soft and ooey-gooey. But, overall, still one of the better buffet meals at WDW.
