I know that Donald is at the Tusker House Donald's Safari Breakfast, but what other characters are there? I just switched to this on impulse from 'Ohana as I switched my park days due to the change in UG recommended days (that whole Fantasmic 2x/week deal).

Also, is 10:15 AM a good time to eat here or are we going to be waiting all day? Should I keep trying back for an earlier time?

Finally, as recommended here on the DIS :worship: I had to ask for a 6 person ADR vs. our 5 person party as there were no ADRs for 5 available:confused3 . Is this going to be a problem at Tusker House? Should I keep trying for a 5 person ADR?

We really liked Tusker house when we went in January. Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey were there all in Jungle dress. It was very nice. We would 100% go back there. I have never been to Ohanas but would like to try that next time.

I was reading another thread asking some similar questions. One person said that they ate at that hour and they didn't say anything about waiting but it sounded like they had plent of food left and good character interacton. We are doing it at that time also. I wanted a "brunch"

We've done it twice and both times, we arrived early and as long as our entire party was there they seated us right away! Wehad ADR's at 8:45 and 9:15. We love this character breakfast, the interaction with the Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Daisy was really fun!

Unless there is a specific reason to eat later in the morning, then I would suggest an ADR before the park opens. We had an 8:15 ADR. We took our time eating and when the park opened, we were able to ride EE 4 times in a row with NO wait. We then went to Kali River Rapids. It made the rest of our time easy since we didn't have to wait in long lines for the headliner attractions. These are 2 small pics from the breakfast!

We're probably doing this one in Sept. I do like the thought about the before-the-park-opens ressie and I, in general, love doing those. BUT, at AK - in Sept - it gets so HOT that I'm considering a 10:30 ADR to be able to take a little break from the sun. ON the other hand - it'll be a LOT HOTTER when we get out at noon than it was at 10:30 - maybe an 8:10 ADR is the way to go.

I mentioned eating later on another thread. I guess it would be OK to eat before the park opens on a regular opening day, but I'll stick by the later time.

Like I said, the biggest benefits are

1. the places just start to empty out. It seemed to me that if it says they are serving breakfast until say 10:30, they are really serving until 11:30. They just stop seating people at 10:30. We did this time at both Play-N-Dine and Crystal Palace last time. It worked great.

2. There are literally no lines if you go on the early morning day. After 2.5 hrs of riding, you will be ready for a break.

3. You will be full the rest of the day pretty much.

I would definitely try to get ressies before AK opens if available. If not, your time is good. The food is absolutely delicious!!! I was extremely impressed with the spread they had laid out. It really was out of this world good!!! The Characters are Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Daisy with each making their rounds to your table. They also have a parade for the kids to join in. This was one of the best meals we had on our last trip and will definitely be one that we repeat often.

Here's a pic with Goofy
