Hi all! Does anyone have any feedback for me about the Tusker House lunch buffet?

Thanks so much :goodvibes

We make a visit there every year! There's a good selection, and we have a nice break in the air. Salads, breads, roasted chicken, potatoes....and some more interesting things like really good samosas, chicken masala, basmati rice, pita. There is also a type of seafood stew...scallops,mussels,in a sauce. We go every year. Dinner and Lunch seem to be the same, unless someone knows otherwise?? I can't remember.

We are going to Dinner at Tusker House for the first time this December. We have been for breakfast twice and loved it. It is nice to hear good reviews!!

:thumbsup2

Love this place! We have gone several times and we never go away hungry :lmao: The chocolate mango bread is my favorite thing to eat!

Just a different opinion....If you are not adventurous, I wouldn't try it. We like buffets, but would not go back. Alittle too adventurous for us...Just my humble opinion...

I don't think its great - in fact, I'd like it to be a little more adventurous (we like to try new things while on the dining plan), but it is a great break in a hot park and could even be necessary if you plan to spend a full day there.

We love it! We're adventurous eaters but did have our unadventurous nephew with us last time we were there, and he did fine with the roast pork and beef, the rotisserie chicken, mac and cheese, roasted potatoes and cold cuts.

I just looked at the menu and here are some of my faves
Cape Malay Curry Chicken
Peri-Peri Marinated Salmon Filet
Seafood Stew with Tamarind BBQ sauce
Tomato and Cucumber Salad with fresh mint and Yogurt Dressing
Tunisian Couscous Salad

Warm Banana-Cinnamon Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce

NOTE: The lunch & dinner buffets are reasonably priced for
a park eatery. Although the selection could be more varied, there
are menu items for most tastes. Although highly Americanized,
the dishes do have an African flair.

This is our FAVORITE character meal! We always make sure to have 1 breakfast there during each vacation!!! I have been craving the oatmeal with brown sugar and cinnamon!!! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!! The food is fantastic!

At the lunch buffet are the children's offerings just out on the bar for anyone like they are at some of the other buffets? I want to do this on our AK day but I'm a bit nervous about my picky eaters - if they could get at the chicken nuggets to fill in with the other stuff they WILL eat, then we should be fine.

My family tried it for the first time this June because I read some great reviews on here, and we were not disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious with a nice variety of African inspired cuisine and traditional American. The food was very fresh, our server was nice and quick to clear our plates, and the dessert island was great as well. Can't say enough good things!

:wizard: We're going for dinner for the first time this trip. So glad to hear all the good reviews!
