Definitely try for a pre-park opening ressie! Getting an 8-8:15 ressie is a great way to see the park empty, enjoy a great breakfast buffet, get great character interaction and there is a rope drop location just outside and Kilimanjaro Safari is right there! We love being on one of the first safari's for the morning!
This is absolutely a great way to get a jump on the park- you pop out in Africa and if you are right there at the rope drop, you can make a quick dash to Asia for the Expedition Everest. Last year we rode it 3 times in about 30 minutes! The 8 am ressie is super hard to get- we tried on the exact morning of 180 days, right at 7am, and it was only available the last day of our vacation, so we nabbed it!
shhhhh. Top Secret. OK, maybe not so much. If you have an ADR for up to 9:20am,
you can get admitted through the Main Gate as early as 7:45am, and be seated at Tusker
quickly. (If you are Japanese, you can have an ADR as late as 10:00am and get in as early
as 7:45am, this is through a reciprocal arrangement with Disney Tokyo.)
I'm looking forward to Tusker House for breakfast. I originally did not have any plans to go here; however this morning I was on the MDE site and saw an available ADR for June 22nd at 8:15 AM. Perfect, my planned day for being in AK. Not bad for a last minute tweak to the plans.
Yes, you can! We loved doing this! Not only do you get in the park before everyone else, the food and character interaction at Tusker House is great. Of all the character meals we've done, this was our favorite.
