We had a reservation earlier this week and I was surprised when we went to take our photo and there was no Donald....Why on Earth would I pay $35 for a photopass photo with no characters in it?

He came to the tables with the other characters. But everyone seemed to be taking the photo by themselves.

I also had Tusker House for breakfast earlier this week, and I too thought that was really odd... Not that is wasn't a nice photo (the photopass photographers really do take fabulous photos), but I didn't really want to pay $35 for a bunch of the same picture... Especially a picture that wasn't even in front of anything special or with a character! I do kind of wish I had memory maker so I could've gotten the digital download.

It's pretty flippin' weird, though.

1) They ran a "trial" and had Donald inside instead of outside.
2) People liked it.
3) Now it looks like Donald will remain inside and wandering around.

NOTE: People could always use their own camera, even outside, so that
is/was not a concern regarding the inside/outside decision.

We look forward to getting the Tusker House pic with Donald on every trip. I guess this trip we will not have one - at least not with the same background. It has been nice to see how the kids look different on every trip with the same background and character.

It doesn't really bother me whether he is inside or outside, but it seems silly to continue the picture taking without him.

That's the only character meal we are doing and I thought we'd get a pro photo with our memory maker package. Darn.

I was able to add the photo to my memory maker package. They brought a printed copy to our table and asked if I wanted to buy it. I asked if I could add it memory maker instead and they did. But it was just a regular photo of the three of us. Same thing I could get outside in the parks. I also don't see why they don't just bring like an ipad around showing you the photo before printing them. Seemed like a waste.

They've surely tested and figured out they get more sales and net more $ if they've printed then out. There is a psychological aspect of the tangible item.

hhmm......well, I HOPE to do a photo op in Sept. I booked TH for that reason.

I will be duck hunter if I have to be. I aint wearing camo, though. Not my style.
