I want to have breakfast at Tusker House on our next trip. I have two girls and would really love this Character Breakfast.

I am thinking about trying to get an 8am ADR for a day they open at 9am. That way we can get in have breakfast and start the day. Is an hour enough time to meet the characters and eat? Would we most likely be finished for rope drop?

But then I was thinking maybe trying to get the last Breakfast time, possibly on a day they have morning EMHs. That way we can grab something quick in the morning, then hit the park and have a late breakfast. If the park opens at 8am and we have a 10:20 ADR for breakfast, would that be enough time in the morning to hit a few rides, or will that just cut our morning short?

I don't know the answer, but I do know what I've been told. I had intended to do EXACTLY as you suggested: Go on an EMH morning and then take the last breakfast reservation. It seems perfect to me. And then, someone on here relayed their experience, saying that they were running behind and rushed the characters through so fast that they had to talk to a manager to get Daisy back for pictures. That does not sound appealing to me at all.

With that in mind, I was left with two options: Take an 8:00 ADR before park opening, or a 9:30ish. I ended up taking a 9:30 ADR on an 8:00 EMH day. I figured that I could get in and get the major rides done and fast passes before breakfast, then eat breakfast and go back out to the park. The biggest thing for me is that I don't want to see the characters rushed through.

here's my only problem with this (the late ADR on an EMH day). Will you REALLY be there for rope drop? If not, and say you arrive around 9, you're going to be smack in the middle of the people rush, on an EMH day, with an over crowded park and two cranky kids who haven't had their breakfast yet. If your plan is to get there for rope drop, ride, eat and LEAVE then, yeah go for it.

for me though - somehow it's easier to get up for a breakfast ressie than it is for an EMH. lol.

I made my ADR at Tusker House for 8:40am on a morning EMH day. The plan (and it's 50/50 we get out early enough to pull it off) is to get there around rope drop, go and ride the safari (a favorite of DS), get a FP to do the safari again later and then go to breakfast.

Thanks. Those are great suggestions. I do worry, if we make a late ressie, that we won't actually get there early enough to do what we want to do.

Don't forget to get there 10-15 minutes before your ADR time to check in. It does get quite crowded,

In my experience, character meals get more and more behind the later it gets. So unless I don't plan ot be in a hurry to get eating and done, we like the first seatings where you being seated is not dependent upon others finishing. That way we are not sitting and waiting without eating or touring. The only places we found this not to be an issue at were Hollywood & Vine and Cape May Cafe. And the worst offender is definately 1900 Park Fare. Tuskerhouse also gets a bit backed up but we have mostly had problems getting into a first lunch seating becasue htey would not let us in for lunch unttl all the characters had made their rounds for the breakfast crowd becasue lunch is not a character meal.

So we like to get the first few seatings usually. Because tome waiting is time wasted!

We did the 8am ADR when we went and got out just after 9am. We met all the characters and were very full. We were very pleased with the variety and quality of the food. Service was great too. I'm sure smaller groups can get out faster, but we had 7 in our group so it took just over and hour, but then again, we didn't get seated until 8:10 because of the long check in line out front.

The past few times that we have gone to TH, we have been blessed enough to get an 8am ressie on a non EMH day. (It is soooo amazing to walk through any of the parks with hardly anyone there) We get there about 20-25 minutes early so we can be close to the front of the line. It does take a little bit to get seated since we have to do our picture with Donald but once we have our table we start eating, the kids do the parade with the characters, get their signatures and we have always been at rope drop at least 10 minutes before it actually happens.

The rope drop on that side is just outside Tusker House and they have a BIG guy (about 7 ft tall) that is dressed in all his atire playing a drum and visiting with the kids. He was great! This is the rope drop closest to Kilimanjari Safari so we grab a fast pass then get in line so we get to ride it twice:banana: Then we head over to EE and ride it. After we get those 2 done, we relax a little and enjoy the rest of the park until we can use our FP and then get one for EE:laughing: This has always worked for us.

Whatever you ressie you decide on, just enjoy it!!! It is soooo good. YUM!
